The more I look at it I do think the referee might just have got all the “penalty “ decisions correct. However on the night he never had the benefit of multiple replays and as he had a far better view than his linesman he should never have changed his mind for the first one. The second one not sure about it. The third one looked dodgy on the night but a closer look it’s a clear penalty.

He would only be banned for cup game if it was a red card for violent conduct.

As regards display cases the dictionary definition is a construction with one or more glass panels to allow display of things. Therefore by that definition I am correct (as you are also). I also apologise for my flippant comment about being brain dead if this caused offence.

To get Europe through the league from 5th place or 6th if Livi get banned the Cup winners need to be in top 4, it could quite easily work out that all the semi finalists (apart from the winners of our tie) come from the bottom 6 which would scupper that. I say play the strongest team in both games and go for it. Cup double and 5th place is achievable.

Have you ever been in the Muirton Suite? You have either to be blind (my sincere apologies if indeed you are non sighted) or brain dead not to have seen the display cases with historical Saints memorabilia around all the walls in the Muirton Suite. As I said earlier it is about time they were updated to include our Cups winners. (Purely as a matter of interest what is the plural of cup winner)

As this thread is about the proposed Euro Super League and not an old squirm hatefest I will comment about that. My view is that the individual leagues should tell those clubs to GTF and let them get on with their “ superleague” see how they like playing each other 4 times a season. They will soon find out the grass is not always greener on the other side. I know it’s never going to happen but I still believe that the CHAMPIONS league should be for CHAMPIONS only plus possibly the finalists from previous season. ps I would love it if the ugly sisters gtf.

Did the club not say at the outset when it was decided to have the Ormond Stand named that they put Wullie Ormond related memorabilia on display? I also think it is time they updated the display cases in the Muirton Suite or at least do a couple of them for the cup winners.

I thought both cheeks of the arse were pretty poor today especially septic. How mcgregor won motm I don’t know other than a few passbacks from both Celtic and Rangers players he never had much to do even the penalty was little more than a pass back. I don’t see any reason why we can’t beat them if we are at the top of our game.

I don’t think it would be a good idea to name a stand after TW at present when he is at a rival team. Some time in the future it may be an idea to name a stand after the 2014 squad as a whole rather than just TW. Also as regards a Perth tribute I would quite like to see the Broxden roundabout get a facelift and be Saints themed.

It’s always a great time when you beat either of the old squirm but if we are to lose to them I personally would rather it was before the semi final stage. We are due a win against them soon.

What formula are Premier using to decide their second game of the fourth round seeing as they can’t use their usual.........match 1..Celtic v ?......match 2...rangers v ?

I see Dundee have the game advertised as 2.00 ok but Saints and SFA have it as 3.00. Perhaps this is the only way they think they will win. I also noticed that Dundee United are also 3.00 will this be the first time that they have both played at home at the same time.

I think that must be the longest journey in the Scottish Cup, I know that Coldstream and Wick have been drawn against each other recently but extreme SW to almost extreme NE must be farther although I don’t know miles involved.

It’s got to be up there, I still think Fraserburgh knocking out Dundee in 1959(?) is bigger, Dundee were actually pretty decent at that point. No doubt the numpties of the west coast media will still think Accies knocking out their beloved blue half of the bigot brothers is even bigger.

I think what is important is that even when we were not getting results earlier in the season we were not playing badly. I can honestly say in my opinion that there were only two truly disappointing performances all season so far.......... the first game v Rangers (0-3). and Livi (0-2). Other games we didn’t handle particularly well after losing goals but did not really play badly and others got punished after having players stupidly sent off. Strangely enough I thought one of our worst performances was first half against Hibs in the semi.

Fourth is not out of the question the way Aberdeen are playing. But I will be happy to qualify for Europe by winning the cup.

I remember when he got “sent off” against Rangers the ref thought he was coaching the team from the sidelines. I think the linesman got bit by a police dog at the same game.
