I have got to say IMHO that May and Robertson would both have been worthy winners ( and congratulations to Robertson) I would have been pretty pissed off if either of the other two nominations had won. But why are these awards decided before the end of the season WHEN we win the cup TW is without a shadow of doubt MOTY ........but today can we really argue that McInnes is a worthy winner............I Think not. Keep these awards until the season is over even have the final voting on the night it cant be that hard to organize a secret vote at an end of season dinner.

I missed the game as I was flying back from Lanzarote when the game was on. However I was able to get back in time to join my fellow Peebles Saints for a celebratory drink in The Crown, Macca was there and was absolutely buzzing. Paul Kane was on my flight and got a text just as we landed and gave me the good news, he was well chuffed and is looking to go to the final.

The only thing that will stop me going to this game that I have been waiting 50+ years for is death. My own would be pretty well final anybody else's I would work round. PS I should add that I am not being flippant in that comment Bill Shankly was wrong when he said football was .ore important than life and death it is not. I should also add a very good friend of mine, a diehard Saint all his life died earlier this month and never got see his beloved Saints in a major final. So I will be having a very special drink on 17th May to celebrate his life(as I did on Sunday)
