  1. I think he'd happily take that wager. It's challenging enough for us to find strikers who score 12+ goals. We are almost halfway through the season and Ali has scored 1.
  2. I'd prefer to see Bryson replacing Davidson, but could envisage Callum giving him a rest tonight after playing the majority of Saturday's match.
  3. Melamed didn't see much action, but I thought he looked very good with the ball at his feet. Neat and tidy with a good range of passing. Promising start.
  4. They've done it before every match this season.
  5. I have made it to the semi-finals! Thanks for your votes, guys. It means a lot.
  6. Thanks guys! Not sure why I posted this in the Fitba Chat section. If a moderator wants to move it to Chit Chat, no worries at all.
  7. Hi guys, I've been selected as a wild card contender for a songwriter competition. It's a worldwide contest with loads of entrants and a lovely cash prize amongst many other good things (I've been made redundant recently, so take pity on me). Basically, the top three wildcards will earn a place in the semi-finals. Voting is open NOW and closes on Tuesday at 5pm. If any of you would be so kind as to vote for me ('Ollie Wale - City Lights), I'd be extremely grateful. Thank you. You can vote via the link here: https://www.andrsonuploaded.com/vote-1
  8. Are we? There are currently four teams below us.
  9. As of last season, there were eleven EPL players and six Scottish Premiership players wearing the number 13. So it's not a particularly rare occurrence outwith our club.
  10. If you're complaining about the BBC cameras which were pretty faultless overall, you're going to be extremely unsatisfied with clubs' own offerings over the coming months.
  11. Exactly what he’ll be signed for, I imagine. If Callum is opting to go primarily with a backline of five, we have no real back-up option for those three central defenders. With all due respect to Duffy, I think a loan spell at a lower-league club may benefit him at this moment in time. In which case, I think it’s a sensible move to bring someone like Ashcroft in.
  12. Yes, I find it strange when people try to justify it by arguing that he didn’t say ALL of these things. Even if he only said one of these things, that is one too many.
  13. Yes. And it was 3, according to his 'apology' interview of yesteryear.
  14. Hello WAPers, I am indulging in a bit of a spamming spree as I've just released my debut album Grey Hairs and Black Dogs. I started recording it last August. It's a ten-track project which details my struggles with mental health during the past six years. It's available to download and stream on iTunes, Spotify, Bandcamp and many other digital platforms. 20% of all proceeds will be going to Samaritans. 15. He has been assistant manager at clubs who play at a higher level than St. Johnstone. Cleland's best achievement to date has been his appointment as assistant manager at St. Johnstone.
  16. What makes Cleland more experienced than Davidson? Callum made a step-up by leaving the Saints assistant manager position to be a first-team coach/assistant manager at Stoke City, before being personally headhunted by Scotland to join their coaching team, then getting another big move as assistant manager of Millwall. His CV is streets ahead of Cleland's.
  17. Disagree. I work in a retail job and we were specifically told that we can’t discuss anything related to our job on social media whilst on furlough, otherwise the company may lose its right to receive furlough pay. I imagine the same applies ten-fold for football clubs. Any furloughed player tweeting about Saints-related stuff could be quoted by the local media and counted as ‘participating in media work’ for the club, as bizarre as that sounds. It is no coincidence that the only current players and staff members who have made a public statement about Tommy’s departure are the ones who have been kept off the furlough scheme ‘for any media activities’.
  18. Presumably due to the well-established rules of furlough.
  19. Callum Davidson is the stand-out candidate so far. John Robertson is just the antithesis of what we usually go for. The Browns rarely succumb to the older Scottish ‘merry-go-round’ managerial candidates, and I see no reason to expect Steve to suddenly go against this policy.
  20. I’d say quite the opposite. The club has been incredibly shrewd in its most recent managerial appointments, but risk averse? Absolutely not. Coyle (an assistant in the lower leagues), McInnes (next to nothing) and Lomas (a short spell at St Neot’s Town) had very little managerial experience prior to being appointed. Absolutely no chance that Cleland will be the next St. Johnstone manager, for what it’s worth.
  21. You what? That’s not a conspiracy theory. That’s the plain truth.
  22. Shankland isn’t a great example. He scored lots of goals in the second tier, then went to another second tier club.
  23. Sure, the Sun is a tabloid newspaper known for 'embellishing' the truth. But why anybody would think that they'd bother to embellish the truth in regards to St Johnstone FC, I genuinely have no clue. I hardly think that sensationalist stories relating to St Johnstone manager Tommy Wright are going to drastically improve their readership.
  24. I suggest you should phone the doctor and get an emergency appointment to check whether you've got Alzheimer's. This really is concerning.
