He has been assistant manager at clubs who play at a higher level than St. Johnstone. Cleland's best achievement to date has been his appointment as assistant manager at St. Johnstone.

What makes Cleland more experienced than Davidson? Callum made a step-up by leaving the Saints assistant manager position to be a first-team coach/assistant manager at Stoke City, before being personally headhunted by Scotland to join their coaching team, then getting another big move as assistant manager of Millwall. His CV is streets ahead of Cleland's.

Disagree. I work in a retail job and we were specifically told that we can’t discuss anything related to our job on social media whilst on furlough, otherwise the company may lose its right to receive furlough pay. I imagine the same applies ten-fold for football clubs. Any furloughed player tweeting about Saints-related stuff could be quoted by the local media and counted as ‘participating in media work’ for the club, as bizarre as that sounds. It is no coincidence that the only current players and staff members who have made a public statement about Tommy’s departure are the ones who have been kept off the furlough scheme ‘for any media activities’.

Callum Davidson is the stand-out candidate so far. John Robertson is just the antithesis of what we usually go for. The Browns rarely succumb to the older Scottish ‘merry-go-round’ managerial candidates, and I see no reason to expect Steve to suddenly go against this policy.

I’d say quite the opposite. The club has been incredibly shrewd in its most recent managerial appointments, but risk averse? Absolutely not. Coyle (an assistant in the lower leagues), McInnes (next to nothing) and Lomas (a short spell at St Neot’s Town) had very little managerial experience prior to being appointed. Absolutely no chance that Cleland will be the next St. Johnstone manager, for what it’s worth.

Sure, the Sun is a tabloid newspaper known for 'embellishing' the truth. But why anybody would think that they'd bother to embellish the truth in regards to St Johnstone FC, I genuinely have no clue. I hardly think that sensationalist stories relating to St Johnstone manager Tommy Wright are going to drastically improve their readership.

I suggest you should phone the doctor and get an emergency appointment to check whether you've got Alzheimer's. This really is concerning.
