  1. A competent management would have inserted relegation release clauses... Thats what worries me...
  2. Thank you RandomGuy I've just deleted all those that quoted them as well.
  3. I find that hard to believe. Once a sponsorship licence has been assigned, and a GBE has been issued the only reason for a refusal is if the applicant (the immigrant) fails on the suitability grounds (eg, criminal, poor immigration history, wrong colour ink used on application form etc...) and goes through in a matter of days. I hired someone from Sri Lanka last month - as we have a sponsorship licence we could immediately assign, and they ticked the box for the GBE, their work visa approval came through within 48 hours. 99% of the time the slow part of the visa process is the company getting approval in the first place, which they need before applying to the SFA for a GBE.
  4. they can come as a visitor, but they cannot work. The process for getting a tier 2 work visa is first the player must obtain a Governing Body Endorsement - which for Scotland is the SFA. Their criteria can be seen here; https://www.scottishfa.co.uk/media/7508/the-scottish-fa-2020-21-gbe-mens-criteria.pdf If anyone has any time go through and work out if he even qualifies! I suspect the delay though is more likely at Saints end and whether they have a sponsorship licence to assign to him in the first place as this is required before applying to the SFA for a GBE certificate. It used to take about a month to register for a sponsorship licence, and expect this takes longer now. Once you have active licences the process to add a new licence takes minutes online, but getting the first one takes time. I can't think of any Saints player in the near past who would have had one, so its likely Saints wouldn't have had this in place (as it costs money!)
  5. My assumption is they will just all buy tickets in the east corner side of the North Stand, which makes the decision to close their usual corner look even more ridiculous, especially with the rest of the stand sold out...
  6. I hope its a cheap system! There is standard systems like EventBrite which charge a slightly lower fee to the customer and are otherwise free to the seller and work absolutely fine.
  7. Yeah, but the UK appears on the Austria "red" list, so you'd be required to quarantine for 10 days on arrival in Austria. How on earth they enforce that if you fly into another country I have no idea...
  8. Yes, I was the red seats (East side of the North stand). Didn't realise there was such a gap on the other side. Maybe that was to protect the media centre from the abuse they would no doubt of got
  9. Why is Spoony isolating? I thought that the new guidance was you didn't have to isolate if you'd had both doses which he should easily have had by now...?
  10. That is where I was sat. It seemed the last 6 seats of the row on our side from about halfway up the stand had not been sold. My assumption was they didn't want people close to the side of the stand as there was a lot of missing panels. It was a great place to sit though as we right in the "noisy zone" - seen a bit of stick on twitter about people leaving early, not real supporters etc, but no one in our area budged, and speaking to fans around me they all seemed to be ex season ticket holders who simply lived too far away now to justify a season ticket/regular attendance.
  11. Is parking in B&Q, Tesco or Dobbies possible, or do they all have parking restrictions? I know Tesco does but it used to be a long enough maximum stay that you could watch the football.
  12. What is the deal with the car park? Is it open as usual?
  13. I've just had a superstar season ticket holder on PieBovril sort me out with the 5 tickets I needed, so don't lose faith guys and keep checking the forum and your messages!
  14. If there is any kind season ticket holders left out there with allocation left then I'm on the hunt for 2 adults, a child and two U12s... Never did I think as a St.Johnstone supporter I'd ever have trouble getting tickets... Oh how far we have come!

    John Davies

I assumed he meant Leigh Jenkinson as he came later and got a lot of stick from the East Stand.
  16. I seem to remember it being Paul Cherry, but I could be wrong on that...
  17. unless you both hold European passports you stand zero chance of qualifying for a work permit for any UK club.

Davidson was when I realised it. Two weeks before he was sold Craig Brown (?) said he wasn't of the required quality for international football. He was promptly sold to Blackburn with his debut against Arsenal. He played left back in a 4-0 defeat and was directly responsible for at least 3 of those. 2 days later he was picked for Scotland.
  19. 2nd to every ball and defence look like they don't know each other. Midfield badly needs someone with a bit of bite to counter Killie. Paton should be on for this formation. Essentially 5 at back as neither wing back is getting forward.
  20. giving them half the stadium just gives them the atmosphere advantage regardless where you put them. Based on that Saints should try the following (my helmet is on and I'm preparing for the abuse); - give them the Main, East and North Stands - All Saints fans moved to the Ormond - Prices for East and Main stands increased to same prices Saints fans charged in Glasgow. North and Ormond at regular prices. Only free kids in the Ormond. - rebate a % (say 20%) of the EXTRA revenue generated as a result of approx 3000 extra fans to season ticket holders (maybe credit for half time refreshments, 50/50 draw entries, discount of future cup tickets, free buses to away games etc) Result? - all Saints fans crammed together and probably a good atmosphere coming from one end. - more money from the unwashed - Saints fans get other benefits. Win win no?
  21. Many people forget the penalty got just after Del's red card when Davidson used his shoulder to clear a cross. You've then got the John Barnes goal that was never even close and didn't Dave MacKay get sent off a few years ago when it was later shown to be a dive? That makes it 5 in the same fixture without reply and I've not even had to think.
  22. I thought he was kicked out when Ashley's men were trying to take over, but that Dave King brought him (Level5) back once they had removed the Ashley connection? The whole thing is comedy gold. The Hibees were numpties for starting the fight, Sevco were numpties for joining in, and the MSM have just made the North Korean press look free...
  23. The 'company/club' today had a hearing to ring fence £300k of this clubs money over an unpaid WIFI bill. Said club also had their internet cut off in November due to unpaid virgin media bills, and have posted an £8 - 10M loss every year they have been in existence. No bank will touch them and every 6 months they need 3-4M of loans, which are being taken at increasingly punitive terms. All the above is fact (assuming no one has been lying in court). In addition there is rumours the December player bonus weren't paid. He won't go to Rangers as they can't afford him, period. Even if they could, they will go the way of the previous club sooner or later. They are no better a prospect now than when Murray was being linked to them.
  24. Cynical me says that we are now going to have a summer of the SPFL pleading Armageddon when their beloved TRFC is forced into admin, with them saying this new shiny sponsorship deal was only possible once they were back to their 'rightful' place.
