  1. While I get your point, we shouldn't get rewarded for clapping a black player off the pitch and neither would I want to be.
  2. Stevie May is a Saints legend. Always will be. Thank you.
  3. Huge task awaits us, one that we are capable of managing. Got to play ball players though, their defence appeared shaky at best, having Millar recycling possession to keep the pressure on them will be key, as will providing some creativity in the shape of Scougall. Big question mark remains for me on who is partnering Joe, hopefully Gordon is fit. I'd line up Clark Foster Joe Gordon Easton Millar Muzz Alston #scougZ Spoony Kane Muzz being fit would be a huge boost. Stuck in from the start and a positive (slightly drunken) atmosphere from the stands. Choo choo braw.
  4. Highlights absolve Zander of all blame. Thought at the time he should have done better, but he had no chance. He also made a good block later on, so he can move to splendid isolation in the passmarks column.
  5. Positives from last night. 1 - They're not that good. Especially defensively. We should really be able to create plenty changes over there. 2 - Millar again showing how much he can bring to the team. Really hope he manages to have a semi injury free season. Huge player for us. 3 - Scougall looks like a baller. Drive, creativity, directness. 4 - We can't play any worse. On the basis of their performance last night, I see no reason why we can't overturn the deficit. On the basis of ours I can, but surely we will improve markedly over there. The worry is their formidable home record.
  6. Mainstand has hit the nail on the head. As someone who doesn't suffer from a disability, I am able to park my car behind the 208 or on numerous roads surrounding McDiarmid. That luxury would prove extremely difficult to some of the supporters using our disabled bays. It's not acceptable to charge them when they don't have a choice of parking options.
  7. Message your hotel, my dad had to get a later flight (doesn't get in until 2AM,) they organised a taxi for him for around 15 Euros.
  8. Their average home attendance is 261... we'll get as many as we need.
  9. Cheers for the Old Town shouts, booked in the city gate hotel, £165 for a triple room for two nights.
  10. It's a 6000 seater stadium is it not?
  11. Thoughts on the crowd? Much cheaper than Norway and Switzerland, but it's a) not straight after the cup win and b ) maybe not as appealing for some as Switzerland. I'd imagine between 500-800.
  12. Booked Edinburgh >>> Amsterdam >>> Vilnius. Leaves Edinburgh at 8.10, in to Vilnius for 6.40. £330 return. Any areas in Vilnius people are staying?
  13. The Labour revival in Scotland, in my opinion, we will see how it pans out in future elections, was down to Corbyn. I know many people from the left who have previously voted SNP, and indeed would vote yes in a future referendum, who voted Labour because their policies are very much in line with Corbyn. The fact the swing in Scotland was SNP >>> Tories doesn't tell the story of what actually happened imo. The left of the SNP went Labour and the britnat side of Labour went Tory. Two distinct movements within the electorate. The story of the election in Scotland was undoubatably a strengthening of the Tory vote by having a stronghold of the unionist vote, as well as eating in to the sizeable minority of Brexit voters within Scotland, especially in places such as Moray. Scottish Labour are so far removed from the leadership in Westminster, and thus so far removed from their membership base, I'd imagine this will eventually become clear to the electorate when they continually bang on about 'divisive referendums,' as some of their candidates did in frankly disgraceful acceptance speeches on Friday morning.
  14. We were away first to Rosenborg, ESES and Luzern who were all seeded. Also away first to Alashkert and Minsk when we were seeded. Pretty sure it's an even match of seeded and non seeded teams at home first. Which makes the late draw date an even bigger bawache.
  15. Absolutely no surprise to see a bitter britnat resorting to casual sexism.
  16. RandomGuy is a bit annoying and reactionary, but what a strange reaction to an innocuous post by the resident Perth hater there. Anybody that thinks we will spend 200k plus wages on one player has lost it. Whether the word afford was the right one to use is debatable, but the jist of RG's point was fair.
  17. Right decision, onwards and upwards, hopefully get Danny signed up and they both can play a part in keeping us successful. Looking forward to a Kung Fu celebration after Swanson bangs one in to take us in to Europe tbqh.
  18. Duncan Ferguson was a police matter because the police decided to act on it. Saturday was five seconds of handbags that the police quite rightly took absolutely no action on, despite some ridiculous rumours in the media.
  19. Not really though for serveral reasons. 1 - They've taken relatively light action against the fans involved. 2 - Foster and Swanson haven't had prior warnings about their behaviour that they've chosen to ignore. 3 - Foster and Swanson lost their calm in a pressure cooker environment, it wasn't pre planned and/or a police matter. The two issues are not comparable at all.
  20. The police, other clubs, twitter, Facebook, forums, eyesight, hearing. Take your pick.
  21. What Saints fans do around stadiums is absolutely Saints problem. A group of supporters representing them getting out of control in towns and cities across Scotland is obviously not going to sit well. I'm not overly bothered about the FCU having some 'hud me back' harmless fights with like minded fans, but at the same time Saints need to be seen to condemn this. It's worth bearing in mind that the group were banned from their section as a collective, not banned from the ground as individuals. I'd imagine if Saints get no more reports of bad behaviour at away games between now and the end of the season then they will be back in place for the European games. Also worth noting that the 'tartan blanket' support are lifelong Saints fans who deserve a bit more respect than they're being given here. People can support their club however they see fit.
  22. The main issue for Hearts is having an egotistical maniac looking over the managers shoulder at every turn. Not convinced Cathro would do well anyway, but with Levein behind him he really does stand no chance. Huge result for us last night, great performance for the majority of the match. Could go through the team man for man as there were no failures, but special mentions to Clive Smith, who got caught out once or twice positionally but overall was assured and it's a credit to him that he came in to the team and wasn't a weak link and secondly to Scobbie, who has really shown his worth in the last couple of games. The fact that centre back is the position where we have the best youth prospects may go against him, but I'd be happy for him to get a new contract. Great servant to the club and evidently well liked around the dressing room.
  23. We were very, very good in Dingwall. Thoroughly merited the three points and completely controlled the game, especially the second half. I don't think you could actually ask for much more from an away team in this league. We were poor first half against Hamilton, but you cannot win 3-0 and not be getting pass marks. Completely irrelevant where Rangers have been the last few seasons, only Celtic have beat them at Ibrox this season, they are a good team. Our recent form also includes a very comfortable performance at Parkhead where we were unlucky not to get a penalty and robbed by the officials of a great chance to be the first side to beat them this season in Perth. Our home results and performances (missed a few months being out of the country, but from reports from friends) have been poor all season, but putting frustrations aside our recent performances have not been 'undeserving of top six,' hence why we will comfortably make top six yet again. Because we deserve to.
