Nigel again for Hapoel Beer Sheva! Mind you Cillian Sheridan scored for the opponents. Bet that's the first time ex Saintees have scored for either side in a non UK game

Really enjoyed yesterday best performance for a while. Very impressed these last few weeks with the defence looks very settled and Liam and Jason are both very mature. Muzz appears to be performing back at his best was immense yesterday. Mikey is also beginning to get confidence and sharpness back had a good game yesterday. And was delighted for Kane did really well to win the pen and involved in build up for second too. Pleased someone finally listened to me about Tanser taking free kicks and pens seems to be paying off with 2 goals in a matter of weeks. Just need him on corners now as Liam does have a very frustrating habit of floating them straight to the keeper.

I actually went MOH for this one. Thought he absolutely terrorised them and the pace and work rate was phenomenal at times. Much more action up the right than the left and he outshone Kennedy which is high praise. Matty wasn't firing on all cylinders but certainly didn't have a bad game.
Murray bossed the midfield after the penalty. I've been quite down on him recently and in all honesty thought he was done. That's why Tommy's the manager though and suspect benching him and seeing Callachan put in some good performances has given him the encouragement he was needing.
Honourable mentions to goal machine Tanser, Craig (do we REALLY need that holding midfielder now?), and the centre backs.

Chris Kane for me worked his socks off and pleased for him as deserved a goal. Pass marks too for Gordon, Kerr and Zander but that was at times brutal to watch confidence seemed very low and not sure if the system/formation worked

Points deduction is perhaps the best idea reckon 10 points for incidents like the Steve Clarke one for starters, 15 for a second offence and so on. Make it so draconian the offenders will shit themselves.

Charge Steve Clarke? That would be their normal solution to dealing with sectarian abuse.
The only solution is to take points off clubs - it is the only way you will see it stamped out of football grounds. It is a far deeper problem in society unfortunately.

That was one hell of a performance quite amazing how much confidence has returned. Very entertaining and good to watch. Not a bad display all at least a 7 out of 10. Both full backs great, Joe and Jason solid so much so that Zander had a very quiet afternoon.
Third season in a row Murray has scored against Accies at home we look so much better with him alongside Liam who was excellent. Spoony seems to be benefiting massively from having quality players around him and I'm delighted last 2 home games he's been more like his old self. As for Wright, Watt and Kennedy, they all had great games and their pace and directness must be a nightmare for defenders.
Best home display for some time loving this run long may it continue

We weren't "expansive" at Ibrox because the team was far too open and never had a chance to build attacks. The routine was Get ball - have nobody to pass too - lose ball - full backs/wingers/cms all caught wrong side of the ball - two centre halves left against four attackers - goal.
I don't see how trying the opposite of that, after a 5-1 defeat, is a bad thing?
Wotherspoon missed by inches at 0-0, that goes in we win 1-0 I'd reckon. Fine margins. We're never, ever, going to play Celtic and have more chances than them, the difference in quality is too much. Celtic had a £9m striker there today, with Rogic who played at the World Cup on the bench, why the **** do people think bombing folk forward and leaving these players with a free run at centre halves is a good tactic?
We pap five attackers on the pitch, bomb forward at every opportunity, leave Edouard, McGregor, Forrest and Griffiths 4v2 with our CHs, and Celtic would do that, and lose 6-2. Every fan comes on here praising the attacking intent?

It's easy to sit at home and criticise but, at the ground, I saw a team working their bollocks off to compete with an opponent that really stepped it up after half-time.
The manager could have selected different players that might have addressed a bit of a lack of composure/quality in the final third but then when you are going to be asked to defend a lot, you need to have guys you can trust doing those jobs. Playing lots of attacking players or what is perceived to be an "attacking formation" doesn't mean you will be able to just attack at will, especially against a team like Celtic.
Far more positives than Sunday but in cup football you only want the result and we didn't get that. I understand that disappointment but won't be critical of the players and find it hard to be of the manager on this occasion.

Feel sorry for East Fife fans, tbh, I couldn't even bring myself to celebrate any penalty, utterly soul destroying stuff.
90 minutes against a team two divisions below, with no attackers missing, and we didn't even force the keeper into a save. Wotherspoon had an absolute nightmare, regularly tripping over the ball, thankfully his playmaking duties were taken over by Liam Craig though, who turns into a left footed Paton in the middle. Scougall seems to get swallowed up by the game and exerts absolutely no influence at all.
Full backs contributed absolutely nothing going forward, Tansers only positive is his crossing and it was vile, Foster was his usual "punt ball to nobody, scream at closest person" player. McMillan doesn't look impressive at all, second touch is always him stretching to recover from his poor first touch.
A worrying game, have to hope it's just rustiness.

Very underwhelmed with talk.of Hamilton think we have far bigger priorities than another keeper when we already have Zander.  Need some new attacking players so badly plus a Millar replacement with the ability to maintain possession and dictate pace of the game

I would like to see us keep using the 3-5-2 and utilise Easton as the left sided CB, it would give the team some real balance I think.

On the pitch the MacLean over the past couple of years is replacable. Bigger problem will be replacing him in the dressing room.
Seems to me that quite a few of the strong characters are finding their time at Saints at an end and its that character that might be the biggest thing to replace.
Going to be an interesting summer.

We are fortunate that we have Zander who in my opinion is a better all round keeper at the club. Alan has been a fantastic servant to the club over the years and deserves to go with our good wishes. Along with all the other cup winning heroes he will forever be a legend. Mannus did every bit as much as Macca and Ando in winning the cup for us on that brilliant day in May 2014.

The media in general brand as a physical side .. then you have idiots like Leveine mouthing off about us being dirty.. funny how half our team are injured due to other folks thuggery!? But that's ok it's only Saints? We had a great start to the season O'Halloran was on fire . .. he was assaulted by O'dea down at Dens, barely kicked a ball afterwards & we went on a wee downward spiral.. McMillan assaulted on his first game broken nose... ligament damage! Lost count of how many times Scougall was woofed up in the air with no protection from the ref.. you can be sure even if we are 'physical' we will be punished unlike other teams! COYS nobody likes us we don't care!

Agreed, he was very good today. Big involvement in the second goal by chasing down what seemed a lost cause, and then a sublime through ball for Kane in the build up to the third.
What about Ando's chest pass in the lead up to the second goal??!!
