  1. Very true, mind you when i was young their idea of communication was to borrow the Evening Telegraph seller's headline board write "Match Off" on it and put it on the pavement outside St Paul's. Sometimes they would go into information overload and write "Match Off - Snow".
  2. Maybe so but I doubt Saints are doing this for altruistic reasons. More likely they don't want to be embarrassed by the actions of a minority.
  3. Seems we were consulted but left hand didn't know. Right hand has now apologised to Hibs.
  4. Hibs website claims match date was changed after discussions with Polis, SPFL and St Johnstone. Saints simply report the date change without comment. Presumably we will get round to discussing team selection and hopes for the Ross County game at some point. I hope we win.
  5. Not sure about the Hearts game although I am sure the Club will be issuing dire warnings to the element who shamed themselves at the Euro tie on Thursday.
  6. Interesting, well one of them is not getting value for money!
  7. As things stand all 12 clubs have to agree because the deal involves an increase in televised games at all grounds. SPFL are considering changing that to a 11 - 1 majority but Sevco will doubtless challenge that in court, Park being an awkward sod. Unfortunately they may have a case as rule changes in the middle of negotiations are normally frowned upon. Park is also quite capable of refusing to allow Sky cameras into Ayebroke, at least for the extra games. Given that the majority of TV games involve one of the ugly sisters there is the risk that Sky might just walk away.
  8. Sounds like the site is run by politicians in their spare time.
  9. Well done, I think 3 - 0 counts as "handsomely". Any thoughts about the Killie game yet?

Good move, if he can't land a first choice slot reserve to a guy who turns 40 this year is not a bad consolation prize. A 3 year deal and no doubt better wages can't be bad either.
  11. I also seem to think we will win today though not handsomely. Like you my technical expertise, or more likely lack of, has no bearing on my belief. Unfortunately I frequently have these views on the mornings of matchdays.
  12. If Callum is still here in 5 years we will probably be in the Lowland League and ground sharing with Jeanfield Swifts.
  13. I was 11 years old when PB left for Aberdeen so I did not have the keen tactical football brain i have now!! (Aye right) I remember he had pace and never seemed to miss when through on the keeper but he probably did. The Old Man and his pals were not happy when he left and took some time to warm to his replacement, Ian Rodger, who came as part of the transfer deal.
  14. Not cut adrift yet buy already at the stage of looking at other results carefully. Pity Killie came from behind to win, hope Celtic have their shooting boots on tomorrow.
  15. Can I mention Paddy Buckley then? There was a guy who knew where the back of the net was.

    Zander

Very odd indeed. He must have thought now was the time to move on and up cashing in on being in the Scotland squad. Maybe thought Rangers would take him and he would have settled for 2/3 choice meantime as that would probably still got him into the Scotland squad. Now that hasn't worked out he must be holding out for a club that will take him as first choice keeper but it looks like there is only one club might do that and he may have burned his boats with us. Who knows what has gone on behind the scenes and to make things worse we now have a decent keeper, at least for the moment.
  17. Doubt he would be prepared to get injured for less thanĀ£10k per week.
  18. Hope wee Willie has a company of the Black Watch on standby, he seems to be unpopular down Ayebroke way|

McLauchlan being blamed for Hibs second goal today, Zander could be on his way next week.
  20. True but who can we get that we can afford and would come to us? According to the Hootsmon the only available striker who is any good is Mark McNulty and he has managed 8 goals in total over the last 3 years and is 30 next month.
