Not quite. Last year there was some confusion about handing the EL place reserved for the winners of the ECL (because there weren't previous winners), and folk incorrectly guessed that they'd handle it in a certain way which would benefit the Scottish team.
This time round we know for sure, since the coefficient went up.

Moreover, the Scottish Cup winners this season will get direct entrance to the Europa League playoffs next year which guarantees EL or ECL group games and a few million quid of income from the TV pool.

This is exactly the kind of game where we've pulled a win out of nothing in the past few years. Don't forget that Callum has Jack Ross's number.

I remember reading about the Muirton/Asda deal and how the one thing that Geoff insisted on was that Asda built the new stadium before he handed over the keys to the old one.
It would be absolutely hilarious if they end up homeless. Having said that, I guarantee that the American owners plans are to force a ground-share at Tannadice long term.

Can't see the maths in this based on the drawings I've seen- it's an expensive development being proposed, with a business park. Housing prices are pretty stagnant (at best) in Dundee. Drive through the technology hub & there's a lot of "office space for lease".
They could do it if they "do a McDiarmid"- nothing flash, cheap build. But Dens is contaminated. It therefore requires mandated 50 years for cleansing.

california_saintee reacted to Auldallianez in Saints WHO recognition award
The WHO (World Health Organisation) have awarded St Johnstone with a special award recognising their exemplary implementation of "keeping people safe" in recent week's.
A special mention has been given to the teams defence and their implementation of the 2 meters distancing rule with regards to the opposition team on the field.
We'll need a bigger trophy cabinet soon.

Don't think so. There's no PPV option which would be split. This is just their monthly subscription.
I took a hot shower and it hasn't helped.

It was soooo Stevie May. I could hear KC and the sunshine band ringing in my ears as he bolted towards the Aberdeen fans cupping his lugs

Pretty sure it's (1) for the qualification/playoff rounds, and (3) for the group stages. There's a Reddit post today with details on the group-stage payouts.

UEFA have broadcast contacts for the group stages onwards. Nothing for the qualifiers/playoffs

It's looking increasingly unlikely that there will be *any* TV coverage :-(
Saints TV relies on a regular broadcaster providing the feed. There's always coverage at league games, so that's why the international subscription is limited to a guarantee for "home league games". Away games for clubs also using the same streaming platform, and some home cup games (where a broadcaster can provide video), are a bonus.
We didn't get the Galatasaray game on Saints TV, even though BBC were at McD, because Saints sold the international rights to Spor Smart.
For this week's game, unless the BBC/BT/Premier/Sky decide to cover it, or if someone in Austria wants to pay for production, there won't video of any kind.
I'll be very happy to be wrong.

california_saintee reacted to blueheaven in The greatest ever St Johnstone moment?
I reckon I'd argue that the turning point, when the modern era started, was the opening of McDiarmid Park. If we hadn't moved to McDiarmid Park, I think there's a very good chance that none of what's followed would have happened.
Best on-field moment for me is probably Macca's winner in the 2014 Cup Final - but it's so hard to separate the many, many incredible moments we've had over the years. Zander Clark winning that header in the quarter final against Sevco is also absolutely huge. But then let's not forget Paul Kane's header in 1999 that sent us into Europe for the first time in nearly 30 years.

Macca's goal in the final for me - I don't think any of us ever expected to feel like that, was amazing!
It was the football equivalent of a first orgasm haha

california_saintee reacted to TheYellowBox in The greatest ever St Johnstone moment?
It's right up there. Interestingly, maybe it's not the greatest single moment, but one of the most iconic. How may other goals could saints fans know what one it is just by the bit of commentary?
For me, it is either May's 2nd in the 2014 semi vs Aberdeen or Maccas goal in the final. at that point, we all knew we had won the cup.

Cool. Cool as a cucumber.
That was the turning point, when the modern era started.
Everything else since then has been in the shadow of treanors penalty against aidrie all those years ago

The Austrian TV channel from last week is showing the Rapid Vienna game instead.
Fingers crossed we get a stream from somewhere else.
