  1. Very sorry to hear of the passing of Jim Walker. Great memories of him from that Muirton Park era. A very good Saints player. R.I.P.
  2. Zander man of the match - but great performance also from Steven Anderson.
  3. Hallelujah -- fixture list has finally been updated at last! Well done guys!!
  4. Fixture List on the new site doesn't show that we have a BIG cup tie against Aberdeen on the 22nd September --- and shows we have an away game against Hamilton the following Saturday (24th) when in fact it's now on the SUNDAY (25th)!!!
  5. Muzz and Swanson played really well tonight, but for me Darnell Fisher gets MOM and is coming on by "leaps n bounds"!! Well played tonight Darnell!
  6. Yes - "Hallelujah" with the League Table update!!!!! Wonderful what a "wee comment" and a great win can do!! Well dun Saintees!
  7. League Table (at top of the site) still shows us as having only played 25 games and with 35 points!! *No update covering the last three matches (and one point)!
  8. Agree with "Real Saints" on this. Danny was a fantastic player with us when we had him here and IMO he will provide the "missing piece" of the jigsaw we've been crying out for with his ability to hold the ball and provide the "killer pass" we've been lacking since he left us.
  9. You're absolutely spot on here Ali -- assuming he signs today (and hopefully on a year or 18 month contract) I'm sure he will play his part and contribute to the continuing success of the team. MOH was always going to be moving on in any case - as could be seen from his recent performances - and Swanson will help give the team "balance" which has been desperately missing he was last here. Let's get behind the lad and give him every encouragement !!!
  10. Correct -- I'd welcome Swanson back to the "fold".
  11. Here's hoping the "Swanson" deal is a "goer" then!!!!!
  12. If this happens to be the case (who knows!) --- then I believe this would be a good opportunity for Saints to take him on board -- despite his earlier move to the Jambos!
  13. 20 November 2005 ---- looks like I beat Denzil by a whole day then!!!!
  14. Agree. Danny Swanson will be a great signing -(assuming it happens of course) - based upon his contribution to the team the latter part of last season. He could be the " missing-piece" of the jig-saw we're crying out for.
  15. Fantastic news!! AM is a superb keeper and this is another great boost for the Club. Looking forward with confidence to the future. Well done to everyone involved in AM's new contract.
  16. Great idea (Alba's probably) to broadcast from the East Stand. Creates lots of atmosphere on the telly as the crowd are all accommodated in the West Stand. McD comes across really well. Good decision.
  17. Agree with akuram on this totally. With the new scoreboard we'll also at least now know what the teams and subs are for BOTH the Saints and the Opposition instead of trying to listen from the East Stand to some indecipherable Tannoy announcements. Much more professional. Well done.
  18. BG gets my vote --worked really hard. Muzz a very close second. Lots of hard work and effort from the whole team yesterday -- well dun guys!!
  19. "Manager's Message" emails have been arriving quite regularly this season - usually about a couple of day's after the last game. Always good to get Tommy's opinion and perspective of the match of course. Not sure -- but it's possible that these emails maybe only get sent out by the Club to the Season Ticket "list". Would maybe account for why some folks' on the Forum don't receive them.
  20. Yea -- come out on a fairly reg basis from Tommy after most matches -- by email. You will need to make sure Saints have you're email address of course!!
  21. "The Manager's Message" -- Monday 16th March Is as shown above. Good and positive in my opinion.
  22. Saturday’s result at Firhill certainly wasn’t the one we had hoped for but when you don’t start a game well it makes it very difficult. We had enough possession during the game but I feel we didn’t get enough early crosses in and on one of the few occasions that we did, it created a good chance for Michael O’Halloran which unfortunately he couldn’t take. Ultimately, we defended three set plays very poorly and that cost us the chance of taking anything from the game. To be fair to the boys, it’s not like us to lose those sorts of goals so we have to hope that it was a blip on Saturday and we move on. Points-wise, before Celtic and Partick Thistle we were on 38 points and I think most of us would have settled for 41 after these two game but after the success at Parkhead, there’s inevitably a bit of disappointment. However, this is no time for negativity to creep in. We have a home game coming up against St Mirren and it will be a massive three points on Saturday so please come along and give the boys your backing, the way you have throughout the campaign. Thank you for your support Tommy Wright Manager St Johnstone FC
  23. Well said Tommy - a simple but good summing up of last Sat's game! Let's look ahead with confidence to the St. Mirren match and three points!
  24. A really fantastic display to see!! Thanks to everyone who put so much effort and time into this. A truly GREAT experience!! Well done St.Johnstone!!
