  1. I am done with his totally negative tactics, s**** performances and dreadful results. If we have any hope of staying up we have to get rid now.
  2. What is the point of worrying about who is in goals' when the manager has no intention of us getting anywhere near the opposition goal. A really important game for us tomorrow and the totally negative tactics from Levein means I ain't going. Never thought I would feel that way. The total irony of having 6 strikers. You really couldn't write the script.
  3. Totally gutted for Macca and Liam but probably inevitable. Although they are not blameless, the major part of the blame for this s*** show lies with Steve Brown, Flaherty and Davidson for p******* so much money down the drain (who would have thought you would say that about Steve Brown). We have bought or loaned so much s**** in the last 3 seasons it was inevitable that the chickens would come home to roost. Whilst Macca has brought in dross this Summe,r with the exception of Mitov and Sprangler, the "budget cuts" were only going to end one way. Having a spine of Robbie Deas, Stuart Findlay and Matty Kennedy would make a huge difference to the current team as would having Spoony to provide that creativity we are so desperately lacking. Re Macca, although unlucky with injuries, probably my biggest disappointment is we have not seen the aggressive pressing from the from the front we were promised. Instead, it has been a meek acceptance of allowing the opposition defence to pass the ball about at the back with little or no pressure. We are also gutless with no fight and very few leaders. Never thought I would say that about a Macca and Liam Craig team! As for who next, it has to be experience which means probably Neilson getting quoted and then throw in the rest of the media darlings, Scott Brown, Kevin Thomson, Barry Ferguson, Yogi and Jobby McCall. Dear god to all of them. Ian Murray maybe?
  4. When the announcement was made earlier in the week by County, I spoke to Saints ticket office and they confirmed that they had spoken to County (who apparently hadn't told them about the change) and that the free ticket offer applies and that tickets can be bought at the away ticket kiosk at the ground tonight. If that is not the case, there will be 3 very p***** off Saints fans.
  5. Although there is definitely an onus on the Club to be marketing this match heavily all us regular Saints fans also have a role to play in getting occasional Saints fans there too by asking and encouraging people we know to come along. After all, do people really want to be stuck at home swearing an allegiance to one of the richest people in the world! LETS ALL TRY AND HELP GET ANOTHER 1,000 TICKETS SOLD BY SATURDAY.
  6. Don't always agree with Cagey but for Davidson to say that the aim was to hit the team below us in the league on the counter attack beggars belief. Yet again no thought to the entertainment of the fans. Result seems to be the bee all and end all. Yes, it is important but football is supposed to be entertaining. What is the point in investing in quality at the top end of the pitch when we have little or no intention in getting the ball into that area. Yes, we have won of couple of games but it is still s*** to watch. As for continuing to play Brown at LWB when we have 2 natural left footed players on the bench; quite simply Why?
  7. I can confirm that this was said at a recent outing. Given he has signed almost 30 players in the last year, it is staggering that within that number he has not signed players who can adapt to playing a 4-4-2.
  8. Hearing McGowan was signing made me feel physically sick. What a complete and utter waste of money. Also how out of touch is the reviewer on the BBC if he thinks we have signed well. No goalkeeper and no striker. If it wasn't so serious it would be laughable.
  9. Gutless performance (again). Hopefully a number of these players won't be with us next season (except MacPherson unfortunately). Would not be surprised if the way things are going we resign Parrish but he seems incapable of saving any shot that is on target. Why Sinclair wasn't given a a run out is beyond me. That abject performance will have given ICT a lot of encouragement and yet again the supporters let down by a number of players players who look as they couldn't care less. What a total wate of day. If we are anything like that on Friday its hello Championship.
  10. Jordan Tait and Lee Hardy. Two of the worst players ever to play for St Johnstone (at least in my life time of watching which is quite a while now!) Others include Frank Liddell, Tom Ward, Gerry Crawley and Dyron Daal
  11. Can I say not only were the young team superb again last night but overall it was great that the majority of the support stuck with the team and really try to lift them in the last 15. Scenes at the end with fans and players was really good to see and it certainly seemed to mean something to a lot of the players. Fair play to Hendry for helping with that too. He was really trying to gee the fans up in the second half. It would have been all too easy for him to come back and to an extent sulk but he has done the exact opposite and shown a superb fighting attitude that all the players need to emulate. Still not confident about staying up but so much about last night was a huge improvement and if we continue with that spirit we will at least give ourselves a chance.
  12. No doon. Problem area of the pitch not addressed. No RWB and no creativity and our new striker not even in the country yet. Allied to no change in tactics it is hard to feel optimistic although I do want to be proved wrong and it won't stop me being at Livi tomorrow. I do also genuinely feel that if we can keep most of the squad and add one or two we have a reasonable chance of coming back up.
  13. I think this transfer window is shaping up to be a real mess (again). Clear before the start of the transfer window that midfield was the main area requiring attention and it would seem that we have now known for weeks that Bryson is carrying a serious injury and he is now out for weeks. Despite that, we go into our first game after the break with virtually the same midfield bar the return on loan of 2 relatively inexperienced players. Throw into the mix that our star striker acquisition has still to get international clearance then it seems almost certain that apart from Cleary, our starting 11 at Tynecastle tomorrow will be almost unchanged from the lines up that were brutal before Christmas. So much for starting back from the break with any degree of optimism. Can't see this as being anything other than another farcical end to the transfer window where we most likely sell Clark and are easily 7 or 8 points adrift of other teams currently around us and out of the Cup. I do hope I am wrong but I don't have a good feeling and In Scott Boyd and the Chairman I have zero faith.
  14. Frustrating as Mikey can be at times, he can be a game changer and actually made a major contribution to our cup wins. Bet Fred v Motherwell and at Ibrox in Scottish Cup plus final too. When his confidence is up he is one of the most exciting players in Scotland but I accept can also be crap still triple Cup final medal winner one of only 3 in Saints history.
  15. 6Thanks to all the players today. Can't tell you how proud I feel in the words of Spoony its f***** incredible. Can't believe how quiiet Perth is tonight. Our momentous night ever. Thanks Nicoliar.
  16. COYS. One more great result please to round off a fantastic season. Couldn't be more proud at this moment to say I and all the family are Saints Fans fae Perth. Do us all proud again. Immortality Beckons
  17. Sadly in the same category as Dave Mc. Both Mum and Dad who were at the 2014 Cup Final have passed on. Have a cracking photo of them at Celtic Park with my Dad's arms round Mum beaming proudly. I blame my dad for the infliction with Saints but no doubt he and Mum will be cheering them on in any way they can. It will be just as well the ref won't be able to hear Mum!
  18. Sorry don't agree re Tanser. OK going forward, can put in a decent cross and wins his share of headers but far too weak defensively. Still allows too many crosses in to the box from out wide and a classic example of his weakness on Saturday for the Motherwell goal. Tanser goes to ground with a pretty pathetic effort on O'Hara and makes little if no impact in trying to stop him. Compare that to the tackles both McCann and MacNamara put in on the second half when Motherwell had counter attacks.. Yes they got bookings but stopped real danger. Tanser should have wiped O'Hara out on Saturday and taken the yellow card. That unfortunately is a major failing in his game at this level as he is simply too nice and brushed of the ball too easily.
  19. " The Millwall No2 has been given permission to travel north to finalise his McDiarmid Park return. The 43-year-old is currently travelling to Scotland to seal a deal that will see him become Tommy Wright’s successor. " Pleased with the appointment but given wee Jimmy Krankie's current restrictions on non-essential travel that have been imposed will he be allowed over the border from England or will we have to wait until after any announcement on the potential easing of these tomorrow?Maybe he is staying in Carlisle tonight!
  20. Great idea Ginger. Sure most supporters would love the opportunity to say a proper farewell. He truly is a Club legend. Thanks for everything Tommy and all the best to you and Anne and also whatever you go on to in football. We have many fantastic memories to look back on.
  21. Sorry Random but have to disagree. A compromise agreement will have been signed by TW preventing any negative comments from him but ask yourself why so many people with close connections to the Club are stating problems over the relationship between KR and TW.
  22. Barry f******* Ferguson . Absolutely no way and for good measure not Dodds,, Fat Sally, Danny Lennon, Ian Mcall, Jim MCintyre,,Hartley, Jim Duffy,Austin McpHee and Ian Cathro. The list of don't wants is much longer than possibles. Sheerin potentially and of the experienced managers Robertson would be a good shout
  23. Pretty certain you will find Kirsten Robertson's pawprints are all over this!
  24. Fandabidozi.. Interesting to see that she bottled pulling the Ugly Sisters match on Sunday!
  25. Thoroughly deserved win today with some fantastic performances from Spoony, McCann, Muzz and Kerr. Seeing the celebrations at the 3rd goal and the end showed it meant a lot to most of the players. Only downside was Duffy who basically again gave away the goals and again looked out of his depth. Straight through middle at first and totally stupid free kick to give away at the second. Dread to think what Ikpeazu will do against him on Wednesday. Personally would bring in Madis for that one. Still shouldn't grumble too much and let's celebrate a couple of great finishes and enjoy the evening. Upwards and onwards. Let's now get off the bottom of the league.
