St Midden on the 12th of September would do nice as its a big game for us because the 2 games before are hearts and celtic and the 2 games after are hibs and scumdee utd so this should be are most winnable game of the lot so we should turn up in our numbers to support! -
Of course i have just to lazy to look for it , the coverage is from 8 till 10 on bbc alba for anyone interested.

Does anyone know what channel number bbc alba is on sky?

Who's Next? The Summer Transfer Speculation Thread
Saintgrum999 replied to Tranmere Saintee's topic in Saints Chat
Holt was at a few small clubs then went to Sheff Wednesday, Rochdale then Forest for 300k. Then moved down divisions again to Shrewsbury for club record 175k, we would need to pay at least 400k+ for him so wayyyyyy out of our league and wages will be too high for our tight budget also. But moving onto more topical matters i would like morais back if he was interested as i can remember his pace and trickery, and will never forget when he whipped in that ball from the left, right onto jasons head for the equaliser against the hibees in the semi of the league cup. -

Its Luton Town not Swindon, but they are good players i just hope saints have some sort of scouting network down south to find these bargains, or it may just have to be down to the fans who email in. -

This post may be critised but I'm a fan of the english football league and have found a few players who have been released which i think would be helpful for us in the SPL. - Billy Clarke is a 21 year old striker who has scored 18 goals this season for 3 loan clubs but was released by Roy Keane at Ipswich. Lots of interest from League 2 clubs as he is a great finisher with pace and bags of potential. He would add something new to our attack as i feel we dont have a great finisher with lots of pace to boot, a better and more all rounded player than andy jackson. - Dean Brill is a 23 year old keeper who was released by Luton as they try to reduce their wage bill. Great stopper and good with balls in box, so i feel is a better replacement for alan main than euan mclean and there was alot of interest from championship clubs earlier in the season. - Neil Ashton is 24 and a left back which could aid our left back problem. He was released by Shrewsbury but played in the play offs where he made two bad errors in the semis but played well in the final but is a normally consistent and a reliable full back. Paul Boertien and Sol Davis could also be signed as they are left backs who are 30 and 29 respectively and have played in the championship but have been recently released by their clubs. -Michael Ricketts(30) and Sam Parkin(28) are big strong strikers in the style of a homer or kenny deuchar who we are trying to sign at the moment supposedly. Ricketts is a former England international(even if it was just 1 cap) and Parkin has a lot of experience playing and scoring in the championship. -Jonathan Douglas (27) is a box to box midfielder who has 8 caps for the Republic of Ireland and over 100 appearances for leeds. He a central midfielder by trade but can be utilised in any position in midfield and would make a great partnership with jody in the centre. -
Iv never been a fan of Homer as ScobbySJFC will know by now. He wins headers but they r completely aimless and give our 'runners' nothing to work on. I think he could be effective with sammy as his pace can make up for dereks lack of accuracy, but in a perfect world i would have barrett and sammy(as i'm not the biggest supporter of savo either).

Im well up for that also, I love a game with gd singin from the saintees n now it is even more important in the run in to the end of the season. However I dunno how we wud go bout it tho :-s???

Moon's maturity and performance on saturday put him up in my books. Millar has been a bit off the past few weeks but saying that i still dont think del has it right by putting him in the centre of midfield, either rightback or right mid is his prefered role. I think he has the passion and determination ( as seen by his reaction to his goal at palmerston and aggressive tackles) but his passing can be poor at times, however i would still have him in the team instead of swanks as he looks like he couldnt give a damn the now.

I unfortunately missed the fightback at dingwall but was there at palmerston last week. If you attended that game u couldnt call it not exciting, wasnt the greatest display by the saints but was a cracking 2nd half i thought. I personally dont mind as if we draw most games away from home and win 75-80% of our home games, the league should be ours. I stayed until the end and gave a standing ovation for the team and joined in the singing at the far end of the east stand (next to the away fans), i dont think the reception for the players was that bad tbh.

I think Swanks needs a confidence booster, this is a song adapted from the man utd song about Ronaldo (i know celtic have a version about McGeady but forget about that): "He Plays On The Left, He Plays On The Right, Gavin Swankie Makes Dundee Look Shite" To the tune of "Why Dont You Go Home", thoughts.........

A think that is a pretty nice of fixtures , with only 3 away games to play i believe queens to be the only tricky one as broadwood and almondvale hopefully will be 6 if not 4 points in the bag. Our form at home makes me think we can win most of those games, as a saintee i must always believe. PS i hate all this down beat attitude towards our form and the fixtures is just nonsense, we are clear top of the league after new year, when was the last time we said that.
