    Paul Gallacher

Paul Gallacher has joined Dunfermline on loan from Norwich.
  2. You've missed your chance. Still got: Strathclyde Homes Stadium Cliftonhill Firs Park (Seen them at Grangemouth) Borough Briggs Links Park (I'll get that this season) Balmoor Stadium Caledonian Stadium Cappielow (I'll get that this season)

    Dyron Daal

One thing's for sure: He's better than Jan Zemlik, I don't even need to see him play, to know that! (Queue a Zemlik hat-trick on Saturday, I'll take the blame, but he'll still be garbage!)
  4. If he tries one of his little back-heal flicks, in an attempt to get himself out of a tight spot (as seems to be his preference, everytime I've seen him) and looses the ball, against Dundee, who then score from the resulting move, how many of you that are desperate to get him in the side will back him up???
  5. I said, when we had a corner, in the first half: Dinky'll score here, and then he'll celebrate as if he's just won the cup. 45 minutes later the big man proved me right, great to see him back. One of the only positives from yesterday.
  6. Did you see much of our pre-season, or are you basing the fact that McCluskey is so much better than McLaren on his 20 minutes worth of league action. Personally I'll never boo a Saints team/player/performance. And while those that would are completely entitled to their opinion, I just think they should keep it to themselves.
  7. Having seen McCluskey in pre-season, I would never play him on the right. He cuts inside at every chance he gets, but (as has been said) he has no left foot. Far more effective on the left. Based on last season, the Dundee game is exactly the type of game McInnes will flourish in, I wouldn't drop him personally. Weatherston has only played about 10 minutes (against Arbroath) as a striker, since signing, otherwise he has always been used out wide. That's where Coyle sees his best position, it would seem, so I don't get why everyone suggests, every week that we put him up front. (Before anyone points out the obvious, I know he played up front for Queens Park).
  8. Can't think of a player who more divided the opinion of Saints fans than Davie Hannah. Half of us loved him, the others thought he was diabolical. Have been dissapointed with McInnes so far this season, but he is still yet to play as badly as he did on his debut against Ayr (that day he made Reilly look good) don't see any reason to panic, certainly the last think McInnes needs is everyone getting on his back!
  9. Have to admit, I'd consider going to a Gretna match this season, on a Monday or Sunday, just for comedy value. I'll try and write to Motherwell to see if they'll open the Davie Cooper stand, for neutral fans, it'd be busier than the 'home' stand anyway.
  10. Typical "second season syndrome" I saw him play for Scotland U19's at McDiarmid last season, he played up-front, I thought he was terrible, but everyone else I spoke to thought he did well. Maybe I'm biased because he's a coagie! Scott Robertson is the one that always impressed me more anyway.
  11. Sure it's not McInnes this year? Not that I think for one second that Kevin James will miss the game, he'd have to be on crutches not to play!
  12. He's never really been tested at the top level, like you say, time will tell. I still think he's better than Sunderland though, Villa or Man City would have been about his level.

    CIS Cup

East Fife knocked QoS out tonight 1-0, a few changes from last Saturday in Queens team though.
  14. Don't see how Gordon is going to use Sunderland as a stepping stone, they spent 9 milliion on him, a British record for a 'keeper. They won't want to sell him, to a club in the same league, for less, and not many teams will be willing to spend excess of 10 million on a 'keeper. He'll be at Sunderland for a good few years.
  15. If John Paul McBride manages to get a game, that'll help us even more! Will be a totally different performance to last week, have to be really confident about every home game this season. Daal for Stewart would be the only change for me, but I think Owen Coyle will stick with the same team, Stewart had a far better pre-season than Daal, and with the extra space at McDiarmid he could have more joy running in behind the defence. Really hope the defence deal with Lilley to restore a bit of confidence after the way O'Connor won everything in the air last week.
