  1. I think we're more likely to release them and pay up (say) half their contract.
  2. It'll be McGowan, Booth and Crawford. As others have said, Drey's a weird shout. It'll free up space but it won't free up much of a wage budget as they'll not leave for nothing. I wouldn't be leaving my job for nothing if I had a contract!!!
  3. It's tricky because anything negative comments do feel like a bit of a betrayal, but.....we haven't seen the "contributing" Spoony you're talking about for a long time. As someone mentioned previously, I can't remember him getting a run of games for the last few seasons. I'm sure there were no goals/assists at all last season. We'd be going mental if we gave a contract/new contract to any other attacking player with those kind of stats.
  4. Yes, this is a bit of an odd take when you're criticising the club for giving contracts out to "crocks" then listing the a lot of the key players who've brought us success over the past 10 years.
  5. The only thing about starting Sutton is that, when we play with Cummins and MOH wide, we don't get close enough to Sutton for him to be effective. I would rather have the same team (Muzz or Liam...don't care which) with Kane replacing Macca.
  6. I'm not sure what that has to do with Broon's point to be honest.
  7. The cost needs to be incurred though Cagey....we can set aside money/budget for it etc but if you don't "do it" then you can't include it in the Profit & Loss. I guess that's my point earlier in the thread. That profit comes during a year when we did well (income wise) and didn't do anything major infrastructure wise.
  8. The accounts will have been worked on during June and July so, even if he didn't know at the end of May (or June), the club will know by the time the accounts were put together.
  9. I'm pretty ertain that you would still need to include it (even though you hadn't physically received the money) as the event happened before the year end. Maybe there's a way of including it in 14/15 but I don't think so. Maybe it says in the notes or something. Percy can maybe clarify?...
  10. It'll be in this set of accounts...I can't see how they couldn't include that income.
  11. Haven't read them but based on what you've said, that's a £250k profit which includes any monies gained for winning the Scottish Cup, a decent run in the League cup and a few European games. It's not a lot when you consider that's pretty much as good as it gets.
  12. I'm sure he'll be smiling as he reads this thread via a new alias....
  13. I don't particularly disagree with any of that but he's only worth what a buying club will pay. Right now, with one year left, I think we'd get a £1m...signs a contract and has another year like last year and it's more than doubled.
  14. I knew all those anti Rotherham/Tory rants had to be vodee induced.... Enjoy your day.
