But will every fan group get representation on this new fans panel?
The saints fans with faith in the board (who trust the board to make the right appointments); ByeByeDundee (who doesn't); the Gary McDonald anti-fan club (who are raging that he's some how been appointed to the fan panel); The Young Team (who'll only take part if they can "borrow a drum" from a board member); the saints minor spelling error collective (who'll meet at McDiarmid with fans favourite Kris Miller); the slightly racists saints (who'll be meeting in the 70s); the saints for wreckless spending (who'll meet at Gleneagles); the FM enthusiasts (who'll not meet just have a LAN party); and of course the PC brigade (who'll be told off for tutting at the racists).

Yes, as Ghostie says this does exist. And as he says if there are things to be brought up then PM me.

The club so generally understand people's feelings but there are always things that can be discussed at the meetings.

From the last meeting there wasn't a great deal that came out of it of interest other than to say that ST sales are up around 25% as of two weeks ago, and that David Goodwillie was never an actual signing target - he was simple given training facilities at the club as many players are. There was also lengthy discussion re: the way the club communicates with the fans and some planning for future events (which is part of the remit of the group-helping to organise stuff like POTY night etc).

I don't think it's fair to publish a blow by blow account of who said what about what from each meeting but I'm happy to provide an overview of the topics/outcomes!

Feel it would be  appropriate to use some of the May cash to give Tommy Wright an enhanced 3/4 year contract.  He is excellent at getting the very best out of his players and he deserves to be rewarded .

What but this is the internet! I want to be able to tell everyone how my viewpoint is the one true path to accuracy and correctness!......... ;-p

Guns may have been jumped! However I do feel the club will be vindicated long term.

It's really good to see that the G1 group is investing so heavily in Perth. The rolling improvements to the cinema, particularly the IMAX screen are really good to see, I'm really proud to be from a city that supports a strong "independent" cinema, I'd much rather we never see one of Cineworld or Vue or the other terrible chains in the Perth.

The investment in the old education building to turn half of it into Harry's restaurant is a massive boon as Perth could do with another strong mid range restaurant. I'm especially happy that they're going to be doing craft beer as Perth lacks a really good craft beer place. If I had the money I'd love to open a place that sold a good reasonably priced range of world beers (Dutch; Belgian in particular) that did basic but good food in a nice atmosphere.

The loss of Cafe Rocco is a blow as it was great to see a small business in such a prominent location and I'd rather go there than one of the mega chains, which as someone's already said, don't even pay their taxes. Although it's not hard to do with a number of great small cafes in Perth, Reid's and Cocco(on Mill st) being especially good)

Overall Perth is actually doing quite well and people, who say "Perth is shite, because it hasn't even got XXXXX chain" are quite frankly morons. We living in a beautiful town, with some interesting buildings, fascinating history and strong renowned independent businesses why on earth would you want to ruin that with some identikit nonsense that you can get any where else.

Goodwillie, pretty poor according to the coverage of the Aberdeen DUTD game today and we've won.

More and more we see that what's been happening all summer with the club, has been the right way for us to do things.

Analysis of the 2013-14 accounts here (thanks to the two shareholders who forwarded them to me)

    http://saintinasia.wordpress.com/2014/08/10/st-johnstone-fc-accounts-analysis-2014/

I will make the full accounts available as soon as they are available on companies house so as to protect the shareholders who passed these on.

There is still a large cost base, so the lack of signings and the reduction in the playing squad is understandable to try and reduce that base.  While it would be great to continue spending, a season where we fail to make the top 6 with last seasons cost basis, would make a serious dent in our savings account.

So many Saints fans seem to be so in the know about the goings on behind the scenes at the club. I remember when TW took over as manager from Lomas and was in the press talking about how he understood the financial constraints at the club better than his predecessor and was happy to work with and support the chairman in ensuring the team was built within the budget the club deemed affordable.

Fast forward one year and all of a sudden it's not only a problem to Tommy Wright but it angers him enough to make him want to resign as manager with no other job to go to? All a matter of weeks after saying how much he loved it here and how settled he and his wife were in Perth? Of course he's going to try and push the chairman as much as possible for funds to improve the team. He wouldn't be doing his job otherwise. However I don't get this impression that so many others seem to get that there is some major breakdown in the relationship between chairman and manager.

The most depressing thing about the club so far this summer has been this bloody forum.

Spent some tome in perth last week rather than just the usual, for me, going to McDiarmid for a game then home again. Found the town to look as if it is doing well compared to many other Scottish centres

To be honest I reckon with his contract running down Steve Brown has done an excellent job to get circa £1m for him. He deserves a little credit given the stuff that has been on here recently.

BBD The clubs financial year is not April 1. April 1 to 31 March is public sector, tax years are april 6 to april 5 but few businesses run the same accounting year. Saints accounting year ends 31 May so must include the income form the cup final.

Hopefully that kills off SB is bad for saints theory number 6000

Mate there's clearly three/four posts that are taking the piss out of the guy's ridiculous anti-polish rant and that was one of them.

As I read it he was clearly saying how stupid the other guys point was, the tone of the conversation and the obvious Python reference make me feel pretty confident no disrespect was meant.

There's certainly no disrespect from me.
