  1. His unbelievably bandy legs.
  2. Ewan McGregor sat behind me in the West Stand the year we got into Europe.
  3. http://picasaweb.google.co.uk/parspix2008/STJOHNSTONE011108# Here is a link to all the photos from the DAFC site.
  4. http://www.dafc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/FMatchreport/0,,10288~45791,00.html Above is the Pars' match report. Makes good reading but no confirmation of attendance.
  5. I wonder if QOS may chuck a free barnet chop into the deal. Davie was unquestionably guilty in that department.
  6. On the occassion I saw him, he looked tactically inept and a passenger. Perhaps was partly due to his bit-part involvement, but honestly, I couldn't see him making any progress with Saints. The Morton game was an example, he came on and shortly thereafter Saints lost even more of the midfield and he failed to offer any break for the rest of hte team by holding onto the ball or creating opportnuities. Whether or not he will come back to haunt is questionable. I think that he looked like the sort of player that any half reasonable defender should be able to bully out of any game. Sorry Davey, won't miss you.
  7. I would go with Holmes anf Savo. They've both bagged a few so far, and I imagine the boys will be instructed by Del to fire the balls into the box above Kev for him to wave at and make an arse of, thus it would make sense to have the big fella on.

Not sure if anyone remembers a shocker of a game at the mother ship when we got humped 5-1 or 5-0 by Falkirk. Big Doddsy saw red after 10 mins or so, and that wee doo dah Latapy slotted home a lovely, Jenko style free kick from the edge of the box. But...., in that game, Kieran McAnespie came on an after an hour or so, and spent the rest of the match firing high looping curlers at Cuthbert which totally exposed his weaknesses. I wouldn't be surprised to see some of the boys (although shame Craig won't be there) hitting such shots at KC.

Whilst I appreciate that Kev was, in the classic Scottish fitba saying, "A great servant to the club", aside from some good saves that I remember, I never had confidence in him as a fully complemented keeper. Saints will know his key weaknesses (cross balls come to mind) so I would imagine, big Derek Holmes will be on from the start and the balls will be raining down on the six yard line for wee Kev to flap at. First game of the season for me on Saturday, bring it.
  10. Although, I note that Samuel has just scored. Knock down from Holmes and "great finish from Samuel".
  11. Doesn't sound too good frmo the radio report. Aside from defensive blunders mentioned, it is worrying to hear the radio summariser commenting on the lack of hunger being shown by saints players including Swankie and Samuel. You would have hoped that the Saints players would have been as up for these matches as we appear to be.
  12. Just to make sure you are all aware, the game is live on the internet: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/scotland/tv_and_radio/6354443.stm
  13. Does anyone know when his contract expires?
  14. Martin Buglione. I think he was one of John McLelland's signings, written up as a prolific scorer non-league football, but unfortunately failed to make much of a significant mark in his 19 appearances in the royal blue. All in all, totally forgettable.
