  1. I know theres been a lot of talk about the guys mentality being the difference but for me the difference between Saturdays performace and last night is soley to do with the system. We had less players on our 18 yard box and for the first time this season had attack minded players high and wide. This gave us so many more passing options going forward and resulted in much less backward passing due to no passing lanes. The mentality difference comes from players now being able to play positively rather than negatively which clearly instilled confidence as the game grew last night. As much as I think the torrid football we have watched lately lies directly with Levein and Kirk, its worth crediting them for changing from "their system". Its something that Davidson so stubbornly rarely did, and on the odd occasion he did it almost felt like he didnt want another system to work in case it proved the fans right. Tin foil hat stuff I know. I guess we have to wait and see what the line up is for Saturday, but if we revert back to the old system my fears will have been answered. Please no more 5 at the back and narrow systems, I'm begging you.
  2. Would you look at that, we get attack minded wide players higher up the pitch and we start creating chances! Who would have thought it. Thought Kimpioka had a great game, and it was good seeing Sprangler back in. Feels like the games he does start are the games we get results from. Hopefully thats the end of us seeing Carey, Max and Callum Smith played in that role.
  3. It’s easy to see why Dundee have scored plenty more goals than us this season. Owen Beck had more touches in our box in that first half than all our wing backs combined THIS SEASON in the oppositions box. Olufunwa was so far out his depth it was cringey and il not be overly fussed to see Robinson head back to Wigan. He is another guilty of being a complete shitebag and playing the ball back instead of sticking a ball in the box. Good to see Carey tearing him about it. And cheers for the absolute chaos subs Craig too 👎
  4. That second half formation was a shambles. No width, Carey sitting high and central, max missing and Phillips left isolated. It was genuinely hard to make out who should be playing where and I have no doubt that was the reason it was so disjointed. For what it’s worth I don’t think Levein and Kirk are trying to set the team up defensively I just think their philosophy of how to attack/play is clearly not working. Due to the narrow diamond midfield play just got congested in there and we’re not good enough to play through this. The full backs never had passing lanes which forced them long or backwards. Let’s get back to basics. Sprangler should never have been dropped and we can’t afford to have both Carey and Max in the same team. Starting to have concerns about Kirk and Leveins decisions after what was a semi positive start to their helm. Oh, and how many uncontested headers did their centre backs have in the latter stages of the game when we had 2 forwards plus Carey sitting high Honestly embarrassing
  5. I’d like to see Benji’s pace up against Halliday.
  6. Not quite ice hockey but similarities, a new floorball club has started in Perth, and plan to join the national league in September. Very similar to ice hockey in terms of rules, but less contact, no ice, trainers instead of skates and a lighter ball. Great fun and a great workout to boot. Check out Tayside Panthers on Facebook or instagram. Training is Wednesday nights 7-9pm at Bertha Park. First session is free and equipment can be provided. Most of the team are completely new to the sport and we’ve had some very promising results already.
  7. This. Fills me with anger the thought of him and the players celebrating a "potential" play off victory. I get the feeling he is a bit delusional.
  8. Likewise - no season ticket renewal unless he is gone.
  9. Time's up for me too. Sack or walk away.
  10. This is the final straw for me in terms of getting a season ticket for next season again. Not a hope in hell am I prepared to watch another season of this utter garbage. Huge game and there's no fight, no passion and no quality. Same awful tactics that have provided very little positives all season. I'm sure we'll see May on to chase long hopeful punts just like Ciftci has had to do and Crawford will get his 90 minutes of hide and seek. Lets hope this comes back to bite me, but I have a feeling it won't. Thank Christ St Mirren are shite too.
  11. I'll happily create a fuss if someone's sitting in my season ticket seat.
  12. Wouldn't you just have the same volume of calls going in at 1pm as there has been since 10am though? I just presumed the office staff just pick seats on the online booking system for phone bookings just like the season ticket holders do.
  13. Won''t 90% of additional season ticket sales have been done online though?
  14. Bought my first season ticket in years yesterday, along with 2 for the kids and one for my neighbour who has only started taking an interest in Saints in the last 12 months!
  15. Long shot but presuming there’s no way to get my hands on some scarfs tomorrow from Saints?
  16. Nick

    Ph20 Project.

Plans and drawings to be in tomorrow's PA Anyone have any idea on what the 20sports are? Will the rink allow Ice Hockey back into Perth? http://bit.ly/1wkEbwx
  17. I'm due home that day so may manage to catch you boys up later on.
  18. Hopefully that goal will give the boys some belief going into next Thursday. But the game sure as hell will have got rid of any over confidence they had.
  19. Text from a friend saying Saints are playing extremely poor. And Spartak despite controlling the game are not as good as Luzern.
  20. Sounds like its backs against the wall stuff. Mannus already in action a couple of times, tipping a header onto the bar on one occasion. Play mostly in Saints half.
