  1. As above, McLean for a terrific goal and all round decent performance.
  2. I can see the thinking here but think it would be very unfair to leave out either of the two Stevie M's.Arguably our best two players today and I think better to come.
  3. Shocking today, not only looks unfit, but even more worrying is that he looks uninterested. His booking was pathetic, a stupid foul on the half way line and he just wandered away and accepted the card like he didn't care. Give someone else a chance (McDonald)?, and invite Muzz back when he's up for it again.
  4. Exactly, watching those performances against Rosenborg and RC had me thinking we'd be challenging at the top with a midfield that could outfight anyone. What's happened to them?Spoony and Cregg both seem to have lost form, and Davidson was a passenger today, looked totally uninterested in spells, and even took his booking like a petulant schoolboy who didn't care a toss.
  5. Agreed, defeat today is not an option, even a draw won't do. If we want to get back into a challenging position it's got to be 6 points from the next two games.
  6. I hope not, just a complete waste of money IMO. You don't need a scoreboard to tell the score in the game you're watching, and the adverts on it are plastered all around the ground anyway. The only times I ever glanced at it was to keep up with the latest scores from the other games, but nowadays everyone has the internet at their fingertips 24 hours a day. We've managed long enough without it, and I hope there are more important things to spend what little money the club have on.
  7. Anyone else heading down to this one?
  8. Not enough bodies for a mini bus for this one folks, suggest we meet about 12 noon and car share?
  9. This guy was on trial with us in the summer, what's changed that he wasn't signed then but is now?
  10. I won't be there cos I'm going on holiday, but if I was then I don't think I'd be booing Vine or anyone else. Nor would I spend too much time applauding Craig. Both former players, neither let us down whilst wearing a Saints shirt, and they've both moved on to whatever. I'd rather wreck my vocal chords encouraging the current Saints squad. But as I say, I won't be there, so carry on.
  11. As good a day as any for the next road trip, a good Highland Saints turnout for our very own derby. I'll book a 10 seater to begin with but hopefully get as many as possible on board, maybe keep the 17 seater on standby. We'll meet at Inshes around 12 noon but leave it 20 mins or so to set off for the benefit of any late comers, two hours is plenty time to get down for kick off. Let me know asap if you intend going, and as always this is open to anyone living down the A9 between Inverness and Perth.
  12. The boy is a legend already, a fan for life. My oldest son lives with the same condition and was probably just slightly younger when I took him and his young brother to their first game. He will be 29 next month and still goes as often as he can, as does his 26 year old brother. Won't be long until they're taking me to the game! Enjoy every moment, and don't be too upset when he starts going on his own and doesn't need Dad anymore!!
  13. Thanks, Padge seems to be still quite well placed assuming he wouldn't have picked up much on Saturday. And Mannus still going strong without even playing. I hope the leaderboard changes regularly, a sign that everyone is playing well.
  14. So how does it work then ms? Is it like formula 1, where the winner each week gets a certain amount of points, second placed slightly less etc etc, as opposed to just adding up the total amount of votes everyone gets every week? Excuse my ignorance, I actually only started voting toward the end of last season and hadn't really thought about how my vote counted.
  15. I didn't see the spitting yesterday but some obviously did, out of order. I did see the broken seat getting thrown on the pitch, also out of order. To the "young team", everyone enjoys the drum, the singing, and the general atmosphere created, and you may have noticed some of us old fogeys even join in. Keep it up. Just don't spit on people or wreck other team's stadiums. Everyone likes a laugh and David Goodwillie's response to the "you know she said no" chant was brilliant,

What about at Tannadice? Were we not allowed them last season, or was there just no room?
  17. Sorry if I've missed a previous mention, but who is this guy Hurst? Banks standing in for Mannus, Hurst keeping Clark out in the U20's, and some guy Bunting I've seen mentioned as another goalie on the books. Is Hurst by any chance related to Geoff Hurst, in the same way Steve Banks is related to Gordon Banks, is this going to be our very own 1966 and all that?
  18. LC, if you are the Mr Jackson on the telegram from Mr Symon of RFC, what was your interest in Torrance"torry" Gillick in 1957? Just as a matter of interest.
  19. Great news for both the team and the player. How are they playing TS? How's Fallon doing?

So did I, and I was frightened to open it. Phew!!
  21. If I'm going down I'll be taking the van probably so you're more than welcome, I'm quite sure Iain and Don are going by car as well. I suggest everyone that's going meet up at Inshes about 1130 and fill the necessary vehicles.
  22. Perfect indeed, and if anything the wind was against us in the second half yesterday. I love it that the right back can step up and score a goal of that quality, we're always looking for a 20 goals a season striker but yesterday we had four different scorers, even two totally different direct free kicks.
  23. Me and Don were talking about this yesterday, all we heard last season was the big Highland love in between Caley and County and we barely got a mention til after the final whistle against Well. More of the same please BBC, and we'll just calmly sneak in under the radar again.
