Kane looked sharp on Saturday and proved it tonight. Excellent display and credit to Denny Johnstone who worked his socks off creating space for Kane. Possible partnership?
Credit to all the young lads too. Gordon the pick of the defenders. Kerr comfortable. Maclean grew into the game and tried to pass the  ball. Really liked the look of Ali McCann. He was battering into challenges like nothing else and showed good composure. Nice to see positives.

The Watson decision was proof if ever we needed it that Tommy does not trust young players. That's why consistently we've had the oldest and slowest team in the league. That's also why we have a squad full of players past their prime, all with contracts, all difficult to move on.
Kerr should have been brought in yesterday because Ando and Joe have been hopeless for weeks. Watson was not even remotely fit yet gets put up against the fastest winger in the league. These are decisions that Tommy needs to justify. I'm glad his patience and loyalty has worn thin otherwise he'd be out of a job by the end of the season the way things are going.
A good manager knows when to move players on. It was one of Sir Alex Fergusons greatest traits. Unfortunately it's a skill Tommy has yet to master. Maybe this is the turning point.

I hope we're not hanging around waiting on O'halloran or Swanson. Would be nice to see us think outside the box for a change.

I want to blame the players, i really do but the body language of the players for the first 15 mins at home really concerns me. We stand off teams and let them dictate the game. Dropping too deep. We should have been behind after 80 seconds today. What has the manager done to address that? Why are they not fired up? Flying into tackles, unsettling the opposition? We NEED to start on the front foot at home and set the tone but Tommy has us set up like some 45 year old counterpuncher looking for a last knock out, trying to hang in there from 5 seconds in.

I'm really concerned about what direction Tommy is taking us in. We've been too loyal, handing out contracts to players we should have moved on which has left our midfield old, slow and bloated. Big changes needed but we need to move players on. Time for the young lads to get a chance.

When you consider on Saturday it took an average of around 35 people 3.5 hours to clear 30% of the pitch plus get the surrounding areas gritted then you can see how long it takes to clear a full pitch. Those 35 people were like burst balls by then - most of them over the age of 45. No way they could carry on for the full day. I'm reasonably fit and my back was killing me by half eleven. You have to remember that the snow you dig out in the middle of pitch has to be dragged 50 yards to the side and dumped on top of an ever growing mountain of snow. And it's heavy. And it's slow.
So all the volunteers left on Sat and they had absolute blizzards on Sunday  - another 4 or 5 inches of snow laying. Nothing you can do about that and no clearing could go on. Even if they covered the areas that were previously cleared you still need to dig that out again.
On Monday they got landscape gardening company to come on (for free) to clear the pitch as best they could. Remember everyone is at work - not easy to get volunteers.  By that point the thaw starts and the ground starts to get a bit soggy. Then today, it's absolutely pissed it down the full day on an already soggy pitch.
I'm not sure what else they could have done? Sometimes in Scotland the weather is just shite.

This could be a very important 8 days for Tommy in his career. We're not that far off the relegation pack and we've a slightly weakened squad, especially with the news that Easton is out for another month or two. Others in and around us have brought players in too. With 60-80 grand (?) per position at stake in the league perhaps now might be the time for Steve to push it a little to save us from getting dragged into the pack below? I guess it depends on how much faith he has in the existing squad to steer us clear.

Yesterday was a bit of a waste of time considering another 4 inches of snow dumped down today. Hope they covered the part we cleared
By 11am we'd only cleared about 30% of the ground. No way we'd have got it cleared by 3pm and everyone knew it.
