At the start of the season TW said top 6 is our priority. We have 16 games to go to the split 48 points still up for grabs so let's enjoy this run (and long may it continue). Is second or third a possibility at this moment in time yes. But remember the posts when we were 12 points behind Hamilton. One step at a time; top 6, Europe, top 3 and dare I say it cup final and a trophy.
This team is the bees knees and anything is possible.

Give me 3-2 wins all season long... Isn't that what fans dream of? Never mind clean sheets and all that gash, goals galore and wins to boot, it doesn't get any better..
We are witnessing something very special this season, a squad that no matter who starts in the 11 can produce, it really is incredible stuff..

I hope you are right Hoodlum since Mikey will be a much bigger loss than Stevie.  Celtic are the only Scottish team who could afford him and if they do come calling they should be reminded that they paid £1.5 million for Shifty!  I would be looking for £2 to £2.5 million similar to what they paid for Armstrong.
We should play similar hardball with English interest, he is after all under contract until 2017.  If we scare interest off until the Summer so what?  We are still in both cups and looking at 4th or higher in the league.  Summer offers are likely to be in the same ballpark as any we might reject in January.  The last thing we should do is take any offer and run.

I agree no one's vote should be questioned. I voted for MOH he got two votes yet two  Saturday papers gave  him MOM but what do journalists know.. It is all about opinions and that is what makes this game so wonderful. If you have a comment about a player's performance or lack of it put it in the match thread. I also agree that Muzz is a worthy winner of the MOM.

My biggest fear is that he plays MOH on the left he is not the same player out there. I also believe Makay does not have the pace to play fullback much better in the centre I would play him there and drop Scobbie.

Disagree.  I would like to think it gives Kane the opportunity to show Tommy exactly what he can do.  He's sat on the bench itching to get his chance, every time he's got it he's delivered, and now he has the opportunity to do it for a run of games.
Report I saw said a month, with the international break taking up a week, so it might be as few as 3-4 games that he is out for.

I have been watching football for over 50 years. To me a big part of supporting a team is the discussion of starting 11, the formation, the substitutions, the how team played and the performance of each player. I believe their is more to supporting a team than going along watching the game and going home. To me Match day is just that a day full of anticipation, excitement, joy, sadness and listening to others opinion and giving my opinion. Yes this is certainly the best team I have seen and the best manager. But just because the are performing at the top of their game does not mean we cannot discuss or give our opinions on the pros and cons of 442, 433, diamond formation or who and why someone is substituted. Some may see it as hoo hah but to me its football.

Just want to put a lid on this.
Forces day was brilliantly observed and moving; well done Saints, anyone who had a loved one fallen or a member of family to remember would have appreciated.
To anyone who has chipped in on this tread and used some pathetic political line about why we are remebering those who have served or gave up the greatest sacrafice- hang your head in shame you bunch of assholes!

If you were the likes of O'Halloran, Cummins, Kane, Macca or even Sutton, part of a team playing great stuff and scoring freely, and May was brought back in on a higher salary than all of them, it would surely dent morale.
May was brilliant for us, but it was public knowledge that SB and TW offered to make him the highest paid Saints player ever.  I'm sure he would score goals again for us, and if money wasn't an issue, I'd welcome him back.  I just think the TEAM is more important than one player.
