  1. Whilst nothing in Scottish football is certain we really have to go for it next Saturday. We’ve got Killie at home whilst County host Rangers on the Sunday. Not sure if we’ve won two on the bounce this season, in fact I don’t think we have, but if we could, what a great opportunity to increase the gap over County to 7 before the split.
  2. 1 shot for us & 0 on target. Livi 15 with 5 on target & as I type this they’ve just equalised. We are so negative is almost, but not quite, unbelievable
  3. Outplayed & VAR controversy or not, we got what we deserved today. This is now going to be our third year of decline. 2021/22 Finish second bottom of the league & survive via the play off. We did reach the semi final of the league cup but were knocked out in the fourth rd of the Scottish Cup by lower league club Kelty Hearts 2022/23 Finish fourth bottom of the league. Eliminated from the league cup at the group stage & again knocked out in the fourth rd of the Scottish Cup albeit by Rangers 2023/24 Currently third bottom of the league. Eliminated from the league cup at the group stage again & again knocked out in the fourth rd of the Scottish Cup and again by another lower league club Airdrie Current league form, 5 wins from 25. So currently we’ve a 20% or 1 in 5 win ratio. Second lowest goalscorers in the league with 17. Only Livingston have scored less and to be fair ever Saints fan out there hopes that neither they or County improve Club has been up for sale for what now seems like forever. Is there an end in sight, because it doesn’t look like it. So we’re stuck with owners, who although have done so much for the club, want out I’ve been a Saintee for over 40 years and will be for the rest of my days and whilst the euphoria of the cup wins will never ever leave us the last few years have been poor. We need, in my humble opinion, new owners, investment and to introduce a positive style of play that doesn’t involve one up front. Let’s start setting up to win games rather than not to lose.
  4. Really hope Clark’s injury isn’t as bad as it seems and I know he walked off the pitch but the physios signalled quickly for a change & he looked pretty despondent as he walked off 🙏
  5. Watched the highlights after being to the game. Regarding the penalty I always try to go with the if it was for us mentality. I would have taken it if it was for Saints whilst admitting it falls within the soft category. However, that’s in the land of what if & if only. The reality is it was poor defending by Gordon & it gave Livi an opportunity to get back into the game which they took. As for the red again going with the, if it was for Saints, I would have wanted it. It’s a high, straight leg tackle. Yes contact is minimal but it’s a reckless challenge & he gets none of the ball. As for Liam himself, he’s had a bad game, every player does. Some of the comments on here regarding him are IMO OTT. Perhaps removing the captaincy might benefit him. Let him concentrate of finding his form again because make no mistake about it, we’re in trouble & we’re going to need as many as we can in form to start clawing our way out of it
  6. It’s the injuries, it’s because the club is up for sale, be patient, with a few more in we’ll be fine, blah blah blah. Say it like it is. It’s just total and utter garbage
  7. Absolutely embarrassing. Losses of this manner are confidence sapping for the players and supporters alike, impact financially and do nothing other than create a huge sense of negativity around the club
  8. FFS How to create instant pressure and create a general feeling of negativity around the club in one easy move. Quite simply not good enough.
  9. Some will like it, others won’t. However, since it was the early 80’s when I started going to Muirton & getting a lift over the turnstiles by my dad to watch Brogan, Rutherford, McCoist, Tulloch & co I really like it.
  10. Dundee United (H) // 6th May // 3pm Motherwell (H) // 13th May // 3pm Kilmarnock (A) // 20th May // 3pm Ross County (A) // 24th May // 7.45pm Livingston (H) // May // 3pm
  11. Fans booed last Sat. Next week there will be protests calling for him and the board to go😡😡😡
  12. 17:20 & he’s no been sacked yet. Get it done😡😡😡
  13. Sack him. It’s done. Survive this season or not sack him. Garbage last season which has continued into this season. Back to back relegation battles, his time is up. Hibs next week who will be well up for it to ensure a top six finish whilst we’re left hoping that others around us just simply don’t pick up points. No other team in the league would allow this joke to continue. Action now. Announce he’s gone tonight then trot out the same old shite of how sorry the club are that things haven’t worked out and we wish him well & how he’ll always be a legend for the two cups but we couldn’t let the current situation continue blah blah blah. Beyond raging & I’ve supported them through thick and thin for over 40 years but enough is enough

    Pitch

I know it’s the same for both teams playing on it but regarding the extremely poor state of the pitch has there been any sort of explanation from the club as to why it is so bad. I’m assuming the club at the end of last season, or has at some point, paid a company to lay the surface. If that’s the case the club, just like any other customer would, if they found what they had purchased was faulty or damaged, has contacted said company looking for an explanation. Surely if they can answer the why and the how regarding the state of the pitch the next obvious question is what’s going to be done about it to ensure that it doesn’t happened again. Obviously it’s too late for this season but they need to get it right for the next
  15. Any word re Matthews, Mitchell, McGowan & Hallberg? Injuries or illness? A big miss considering all four are first team regulars. Obviously gives others a chance but here’s hoping it’s nothing long term & they’re all back soon
  16. St Johnstone rested several regulars at Easter Road, but Davidson explained "we lost one or two players at the start of the week" without providing any details. Any ideas which one or two players Davidson is referring to
  17. 09/03 Dundee v St Mirren 13/03 Dundee v Rangers (Cup) 19/03 Saints v Motherwell 20/03 Dundee v Rangers 02/04 Saints v Livingston Dundee v Aberdeen 09/04 Celtic v Saints Dundee Utd v Dundee Celtic aside, 2 winnable home games, then hopefully 3 home games post split with one of those being Dundee at home. Albeit I suspect it’ll be at Dens given we’ve played them twice at home already. Not sure on the post spilt rules so not sure if it’s as simple as that
  18. 3-1 Game Over. We’ve known it for a while but this result confirms it’s between us & Dundee to finish 11th & the lottery of the play offs
  19. Not all his fault but Davidson will pay the price
  20. Not all his fault but Davidson will pay the price
  21. Results tonight now sees us 7 points from safety and we’re now adrift. Football as we all know is a results driven business & whether we like it or not that’s the only thing that matters. The choice now IMO is a simple one, do we stick or twist with Davidson? It appears he can’t or won’t change, doesn’t know his best starting 11 & as things stand whatever he’s trying in his capacity as manager, it’s simply not working. He is in no way solely responsible & top to bottom throughout the club everyone has to shoulder the responsibility for our current predicament. Relegation won’t kill the club, it’ll just make us laughing stock for a while, costs us a fortune and fans will spend years wondering if we’ll ever get back to top league
