  17. Not to be for us today. Although a disappointing result we have had a tremendous season and should be very proud of winning the Scottish league title. Beechwood Albion 5-2 PSJ Goals from Matthew Gallagher & Blair Kaylor 3 weeks off then we go again!! ⚽️⚽️⚽️
  18. Well lads that's the end of a pretty impressive season and here are the final stats and results. In the end we: Won the IFA Scottish league Semi finalists in the IFA Scottish Cup Runners up in the IFA British league Finalists in the IFA British Cup Runners up for the IFA Team of the Year PSJ Classic runners up in the Queens Park Sixes Plate. (Edited) Dale Walker was IFA top Goalscorer with 45 IFA goals. Matthew Gallagher also in the top 10 with 17 goals. Even with all that, it's a big thank you from me to you, it's not easy making sure that 18 guys that turn up week in, week out get enough game time and I don't think anyone has ever been subbed for playing badly but more either because they were knackered or to give others the chance to play. The most pleasing thing for me is that we have kept the legacy that Kev Riddell instilled in PSJ to play fair, represent the team we love with pride, respect your opponents, play within the Spirit of what the IFA is all about and most importantly enjoy ourselves! Three weeks off lads then it's down to Troon to do it all again. Cheers Graeme
  19. Final arrangements for the British Cup Final against Beechwood Albion on Saturday. 11am kick off at Airdrie's Excelsior Stadium's 3G pitch. Postcode ML6 8QZ. Can everyone please meet at McDiarmid Park at 8.45am. The bus leaves at 9am sharp and everyone should now have picked up their bus tickets from the ticket office. If you are taking your car to McDiarmid in the morning then please park on the west side of the All Weather Pitch (between pitch and A9) as Saints will need the spaces closer to the ground for the Sunderland game. I'll be meeting you through there as I'm working before the game. If the game is a draw then it will go straight to penalties with no extra time. Playing squad as previously announced (18). Lee Kelman, Cal Kennedy, Grant Napier, Blair Kaylor, Kevin Sullivan, Andy McDowell, Michael Rodger, Nick Findlay, Dale Ritchie, Sam Rush, Ruari Kaylor, Daniel Scott, Jamie Mckay, Chris McLaughlan, Dale Walker, Matthew Gallagher, Jordan Thomson, Govin Logan Dress code is white shirt and navy tie (saints tie if you have one) Player cost for the actual game will be £12 each with any extra cost coming from club funds. This makes the total for each player £19 which includes bus and the game. Let me know if anyone wants to head into town for a few pints once we are back in Perth? Win or lose it's been a great season and we will collect the league trophy on Saturday.

Wee Training session / 7-a-side game It has been suggested before that we get together, maybe on Tuesday night for a wee kick about, practice some set pieces and have a 5 or 7 aside game to keep the fitness levels up as we haven't played for a couple of weeks. How about 7pm - 8pm at the North Inch (meet outside Bells) on Tuesday night? Please reply to this post if you can make it - this is open to everyone in PSJ, not just those playing in the final and will cost nothing. British Cup Final costs The costs for having the final at Airdrie is high along match officials and medals this means there will be an increase in our usual match fee. The cost will need to be £12 per player in the 18 man squad to cover this and will be collected by Nick on the bus on the way through. I know everyone will be desperate to play and contribute on the day however, being realistic with such a big squad, some players may not get on or get the playing time they wanted. If you don't get on then you will get your money back on the way home. That said, with the team spirit we have that has got us this far, I am sure everyone will get behind the boys on the pitch and hopefully help us win our second trophy of the season. If you are due money from previous games then please bring this too as this is our last game of the season. IFA Scottish League Trophy As long as we get our hands on the trophy this week. This will be presented to us at full time as we will all be there to enjoy the celebrations of a successful season. PSJ Kit Order 20 out of 27 guys have paid so far. Can everyone who is still due to pay for their tracksuit or own personal strip please get the money to me ASAP (unless previously agreed with me). Bank transfer or cash is fine. Sean Wallace Memorial Tournament Thank you to everyone who took part in Wall's tournament last Sunday in what was a great tribute to Sean and support to his friends and family. The raffle raised £568 for SAMH and we hope to double that by shaking charity buckets at a Saints home game in the coming months. Sean Wallace Golf Tournament This years memorial golf tournament will be on Sunday 27th August from 8.30am at Dunning Golf Course. Message nick elder or myself for further details if you want to play. Away strips A wee twitter poll last week showed the yellow top won it with 45% of the vote, white was 33% and red 22%. (Photos in the comments). Cost of 17 outfield tops would be approx £350 so we could maybe do a quiz or race night later in the year to raise funds. Bus Tickets for the Cup Final The bus for the final against Beechwood will be ticket only. We have 33 reserved seats and tickets will need to be purchased in advance. Hopefully the tickets will be available from Tuesday. Our sponsor - Tayvista As always, please like the Tayvista Facebook page and follow them on twitter @tayvista. 22. Initial arrangements for the British Cup Final against Beechwood Albion on Saturday 15th July. 11am kick off at Airdrie's Excelsior Stadium's 3G pitch. Postcode ML6 8QZ. I have organised the referee and two linesmen through Internazioswally so they are not the regular referees that either club use. Playing squad as previously announced (18). Lee Kelman, Cal Kennedy, Grant Napier, Blair Kaylor, Kevin Sullivan, Andy McDowell, Michael Rodger, Nick Findlay, Dale Ritchie, Sam Rush, Ruari Kaylor, Daniel Scott, Jamie Mckay, Chris McLaughlan, Dale Walker, Gavin Logan, Matthew Gallagher Jordan Thomson Meet at McDiarmid Park at 8.45am. The bus leaves at 9am sharp. We have 33 Bus tickets reserved which are £7 each and need to be purchased before the 15th July. Details to follow... Jordan (3) Jamie (3) Cal (1) Kelman (6) Sam (1) Nick (1) Dan (4) Grant (1) Rodgers (1) Dale w (1) Dale r (3) Ruari (1) Blair (2) Matthew (1) Gav (1) Andy (1) Sully (1) Fernie (1) Meeting at the stadium - Graeme, Pink I do hope to have the new playing strips for the final with the tracksuit and personal purchases arriving the week after. Dress code is white shirt and blue/navy tie (saints tie if you have one) Unfortunately the Saints v Sunderland kick off has moved to 2pm so we will need to be mindful of this at the end of the game so the bus can get back at a reasonable time. Cost of the pitch is £275 plus £90 for officials and £85 (tbc) for medals. Total cost is £450 / 2 = £225 per team Player cost will be £12 each with any extra cost coming from club funds. As always I will try to ensure everyone gets on the pitch however depending on how the game is going this may not be possible with such a big squad. If you don't get on then you don't pay. No one from the IFA will be there so if we win then James will present the Trophy to us and if Beechwood win then I will present to them. There is a good chance we will get the Scottish League Trophy presented that day as all of us will be there to get in the photo (unless Blair goes to the toilet again)
  23. A very good run out and performance against a decent Alloa side this morning in Alva. Alloa Athletic 3-7 PSJ Goals from Dale Walker (2) Ruari Kaylor (2) Matthew Gallagher Jordan Thomson and Jamie Mckay PSJ Motm - Ruari Kaylor
