  1. It´s live on STV 2. "The game will be available to watch in Scotland, too."
  2. Spartak with the same lineup like last Thu. No May for the Saints. Lineups http://www.livesport.cz/zapas/2gW5Xg49/#sestavy;1
  3. Listening to...this...dope new record. off to prediction league! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GUmmoqynAXI
  4. Thanks Cagey. I think the lad in my avatar is going to have a hard day. Hope the best team win.
  5. Cheers. I should have worked that out myself. So, whos your most dangerous player and what sort of football are you going to play? I´ve a number on our manager..
  6. Not sure if you´re being sarcastic Havana mate. We don´t foul ´cause we want to break the play up. We do it because of our players have energy to play two games in once now, and that they´re so inexperienced they think every chalenge can be won. Spartak have change things around from top to bottom after the last ´almost relegated´ fiasco. We´re not a selling club anymore. We´ve put huge amounts into our academy infrastructure. We´re building the new stadium, we´ve a clear plan and people on the board now who know how to run a football club. We´re a year ahead of schedule as nobody expected such a rise in a space of two years. We´re in this cup by an accident to be honest. As our manager says, this is just a bonus as we´re building for the future - we hope to fill our new ground next year and finally give the people of Trnava something to cheer about. That said, this team looks good. There´s some Bundesliga scouts sniffing around our talents already. We´ve tied them down to long-ish contracts instead of selling so it shows we´ve a bigger ambitions. I won´t be that dissapointed if we don´t get through this time around. We´re going up the hill anyway. Some nice comments from Norwichsaint and others, appreciate it. I too hope you have something to play for in away leg hah. What ´COYS´ mean btw?
  7. Agree with this. I bet that fan never seen your team play. The general concensus amongst our fans is that the only good Scottish team are Celtic and the rest is poor, playing some old fashioned kick and rush football. They haven´t learned from our tie against Sligo Rovers a couple years ago. We kicked them out thanks to a 3:1 home win but they gave us a hard time over in Ireland only to miss a penalty in a one sided first half. I know you have a great support which will put our talented but still quiet inexperienced side under a lot of pressure so anything can happen. That said, Spartak have played some great football this year so that´s probably where our confidence to get past the Saints is coming from. We´d put a club record of eight wins in a row since March to May and have started this season in great fashion too. We haven´t sold our rough diamonds like we used to in the past. Even added new faces to already very talented core and have a manager with a vision of dynamic, attacking football. There´s four Slovakia U21 internationals on the team, one full international and we´ve just added La Masia graduate who absolutely run the show in the middle of the park against Zestafoni. Defence looks stronger as well thanks to players being as fit as I´ve seen my team in 30 years - pressing the hell out of opposition - but that´s one of the reasons we´re over-agressive. We commited 36! fouls against the Georgians, giving them a lot of free kicks in dangrous areas. That´s where my main worry is as I´m sure the Saints will have a good few headers of the ball on their team. Before the Luzern vs St Johnstone tie, our fanbase was rooting for the Swiss side as much handier destination to get to. On the other we tought the Scotts would be easier to get through. With youse beating Luzern over a two legs which is quiet an achievement, and the kick-off getting closer I´m not that sure about our prospects anymore. Think it´s going to be pretty close. For those who have a chance to attend the game in Perth but still not sure if it´s worth it, I´ll say this: let´s get behind your team, cheer them up, support your team and the manager who will need it in these though times, after loosing his mother. There´s also highly technical, pacey attacking team comming to your town so I´m sure you´ll have a great time. Enjoy
  8. Vyskočil (experienced striker) is back in contention after three weeks lay-off with broken wrist. Apart from a couple long-term absentees the lads look fresh. They got two days off at the weekend after a busy period. Hoping to give yous a good game. They couldn´t get a dvd of the Saints vs Luzern game (why we couldn´t send a scout over there like the Saints did to Slovakia is beyond me). "We´re gonna fight against higher ranked team."
  9. The club usually does this. I´m sure the officials of both clubs have been in touch re tickets. Little surprised there´s no statement about ticket arrangements on your website yet. I can PM a mobile number of our clubs secretary to someone with basic English and without strong scottish accent to find out answers to your questions.
  10. I think a lot will depend on the outcome of the first leg. If the tie is still wide open I can see a problem for both sets of fans to get a match ticket for 2nd leg. By the UEFA regulations, if I read it right, the away club is entitled to at least 5% of the total stadium capacity. As the minimum capacity for the 3rd round Europa League match is 6000 The Saints should get the minimum of 300 tickets, irrespective of the fact that the ground in Zlaté Moravce holds about 4 thousands seats only. In addition, visiting clubs are entitled to purchase up to 200 top-category tickets, so that will take it to 500 for the Supersaints which, going by your rough estimations, should be enough. As a side note, our club is in discussions with TV´s over a live coverage of the second leg and if it´s go ahead the kick-off time may be changed. Have a nice stay in Slovakia.
