  1. Really good performance yesterday from the entire team. Was a really enjoyable game to watch. Gutted is just an understatement. Shows what we can do against the ugly sisters when we don't just sit back and get in amongst them and prevent them from playing their game. Drey Wright was the standout for me. Played Greg Taylor off the park and was getting forward himself. Could of been so different on another day. Shows the change in form from the humping we got at the start of the season. The May chance was the a big moment. Brilliant ball through and I feel May should of just launched himself at it, take the challenge, but that's me just being picky. Lets bring carry on this form in the league with a win against the fakes on Wednesday. COYS!!!
  2. That first 30 minutes was awful. Making far too many basic mistakes and give them far too much respect. We weren't putting them under any pressure and let them control the game. 3rd goal is the perfect example. Let there CB just walk from his own half to near enough the edge of our box without any pressure on him. You need to get in their faces. Was far too easy for them 1st half. 2nd half was better but they took the foot off the gas as well. Wasn't expecting anything at the start of the game but needing a big response on Saturday. Huge game against Hearts. Chance to get 9 points clear of them or risk being dragged near the bottom again.
  3. I heard saints are hoping to get McCart in this window for either cash or player swap. I was trying to think who would be the player swap if we went for that option. Swanson maybe?
  4. bbc gossip page saying hearts are trying to offer Berra to us as part of deal to get Kennedy
  5. Are the club planning on making this an annual event? It seems to have been very beneficial in letting the fans know where we stand financially and what the plans for the club are.
  6. Surprised we didn't consider Dorrans. Looks like Kille are getting him. Think he would be a good experienced player to fit CM role
  7. I see there is reports that st Mirren are wanting stevie may. I know some people say they wouldn't take him cause he isn't as good. But Aberdeen play him out of position. Greg Stewart is another perfect example. Was amazing at killie start of the season then done nothing the 2nd half. Tommy knows how to use stevie and is something to keep an eye on if he becomes available
  8. Apparently very close to agreeing a new deal with Zander. Would be a great bit of business by Saints to tie him down. Even if we did only get 1 more season out of him if he has another good season, at least we should get some decent money due to his contract
  9. Big game. Making the top 6 is very tight and every point could be valuable to securing it. Hopefully we can get results on our own and don't have to rely on other results as we approach the split. Wouldn't be surprised if he started with the same 11 from the Zombies game. COYS!!!!!
  10. I feel 9 points will be enough to secure top 6. Motherwell have a pretty tough run in to end of season now. We have Aberdeen, hibs, Dundee and st Mirren at home. Play with the intensity we did on Saturday and we should achieve this. Hopefully Zanders injury isn't too bad but Bell is decent replacement if need be. Just need to get back to scoring. One thing that worries me at the moment.
  11. Great news with Kerr signing on. Terrific business by saints to keep hold of him and if he continues to improve the way he is, we could be looking at big cash injection for him. If we can get Tony and Joe deals extended now, this is by far the best year of business I have seen saints produce. Incredible signings who have made a massive impact and managing to keep hold of valuable players
  12. I think part of the reasoning behind Lennons departure is he felt he was not getting the backing he wanted to try and make hibs a success. With Tommy signing a new contract recently, Brown would be expecting a heavy payment to take Tommy away from us. I cant see Hibs willing to pay it. Personal opinion. They have a number of names who have said they are interested who are currently out of a job. Including Stubbs who was a success with them. Tommy isn't going anywhere
  13. Its the end of the week. Did Tommy not say we should be expecting either a signing or some contract news today
  14. Most of the results definitely went our way last night. Move above Hearts and now 7 points clear of Livi and 8 clear of Hibs. IF we can get a result on Saturday then we will be in a very good position to seal top 6. COYS!!!!!!
  15. I think Kerr would be silly to move just now if offered. He has just broke into the team and is getting regular first team football allowing him to develop. Why then move to potential be put back on the bench and move backwards in terms of development. He has seen 1st hand the outcome of all the players who have moved on from saints in recent time. May, ohalloran, swanson. Better to develop first and move when you know you are being brought in as a key player rather than a fringe player
  16. I would be surprised if he went back to Aberdeen. Considering he left Aberdeen after being frustrated with the lack of games he was getting to then coming to us and playing nearly every game since and now club captain. If he did leave, Aberdeen must be offering much higher wages than we are
  17. I am at the game but down in Perth for the weekend anyway
  18. I notice celtic are looking to send mulumbu out on loan. Think he would fit into the centre midfield role. Saw the impact he made at killie last season
  19. I think its generally a lot harder to make decent signings in January. Its generally players that aren't playing and so are not match fit or loan signings to fill cracks in the squad for cover
  20. If we made 0 signings but managed to keep a lot of key players with contract extensions I would be happy. With them tied down can then build on this squad again in the summer and potentially be a bigger threat next year than what we already are
  21. I imagine there will be a couple of teams interested in O'Halloran. Motherwell were trying to get him at one point and there are a few teams down the bottom end of the table who I imagine will be interested
  22. I think its good to make small changes to the team. Avoids players from injuries from over playing and it adds pressure to players performances knowing if they have a bad game they could be dropped and struggle to get back in the squad. It s the first time in a long time we have had this much competition for places. Shows the depth in our squad
  23. I think getting Tommy signed up is the priority and many players will follow knowing he will still be there. I hope this includes Watt. Although he has not been scoring goals recently I think his performances have been great the last couple of games. He is a real presence up front and uses his physicality really well. The goals will come. He is getting into the right positions. After he gets one the confidence and swagger will be back
  24. 1st round of matches done and we are in a good place. Up in amongst the teams challenging for top 6 and opened a gap on the chasing relegation battle, Expect a tough game against a very attacking Hibs team. Expect Tommy to play the back 5 formation to close out the space. Don't think Tommy will change much in terms of line-up. Possibly Drey in from the start as his performances merit a starting place and will likely be fresher after coming off the bench on Wednesday. Lets keep this run going. COYS!!!!!!!!!
