  1. Really good performance yesterday from the entire team. Was a really enjoyable game to watch. Gutted is just an understatement. Shows what we can do against the ugly sisters when we don't just sit back and get in amongst them and prevent them from playing their game. Drey Wright was the standout for me. Played Greg Taylor off the park and was getting forward himself. Could of been so different on another day. Shows the change in form from the humping we got at the start of the season. The May chance was the a big moment. Brilliant ball through and I feel May should of just launched himself at it, take the challenge, but that's me just being picky. Lets bring carry on this form in the league with a win against the fakes on Wednesday. COYS!!!

  2. That first 30 minutes was awful. Making far too many basic mistakes and give them far too much respect. We weren't putting them under any pressure and let them control the game. 3rd goal is the perfect example. Let there CB just walk from his own half to near enough the edge of our box without any pressure on him. You need to get in their faces. Was far too easy for them 1st half. 2nd half was better but they took the foot off the gas as well. Wasn't expecting anything at the start of the game but needing a big response on Saturday. Huge game against Hearts. Chance to get 9 points clear of them or risk being dragged near the bottom again.

  3. I see there is reports that st Mirren are wanting stevie may. I know some people say they wouldn't take him cause he isn't as good. But Aberdeen play him out of position. Greg Stewart is another perfect example. Was amazing at killie start of the season then done nothing the 2nd half. Tommy knows how to use stevie and is something to keep an eye on if he becomes available

  4. I feel 9 points will be enough  to secure top 6. Motherwell have a pretty tough run in to end of season now. We have Aberdeen, hibs, Dundee and st Mirren at home. Play with the intensity we did on Saturday and we should achieve this. Hopefully Zanders injury isn't too bad but Bell is decent replacement if need be. Just need to get back to scoring. One thing that worries me at the moment.

  5. Great news with Kerr signing on. Terrific business by saints to keep hold of him and if he continues to improve the way he is, we could be looking at big cash injection for him. If we can get Tony and Joe deals extended now, this is by far the best year of business I have seen saints produce. Incredible signings who have made a massive impact and managing to keep hold of valuable players

  6. I think part of the reasoning behind Lennons departure is he felt he was not getting the backing he wanted to try and make hibs a success. With Tommy signing a new contract recently, Brown would be expecting a heavy payment to take Tommy away from us. I cant see Hibs willing to pay it. Personal opinion. They have a number of names who have said they are interested who are currently out of a job. Including Stubbs who was a success with them. Tommy isn't going anywhere

  7. I think Kerr would be silly to move just now if offered. He has just broke into the team and is getting regular first team football allowing him to develop. Why then move to potential be put back on the bench and move backwards in terms of development. He has seen 1st hand the outcome of all the players who have moved on from saints in recent time. May, ohalloran, swanson. Better to develop first and move when you know you are being brought in as a key player rather than a fringe player

  8. I would be surprised if he went back to Aberdeen. Considering he left Aberdeen after being frustrated with the lack of games he was getting to then coming to us and playing nearly every game since and now club captain. If he did leave, Aberdeen must be offering much higher wages than we are

Agree about the extensions, and I don't think any of us could realistically complain if we don't bring anyone in, but why wait til summer to kick on?  There are plenty of teams who can take points off each other in the top 8 positions, no one team has stood out over a sustained period of time, and we're only 8 points off the top team.

A big ask, but if we put together another run like the excellent unbeaten run in Oct/Nov/ early December, we could well see ourselves where Kilmarnock are just now, only a point off the top spot. Or higher?!!

Other than probably in the great Willie Ormond season in the early seventies when we eventually finished third, have we ever been this close to the league leaders in terms of points over halfway into a season?  This could be as good an opportunity to have an absolutely stand out season as there will be.

I think its generally a lot harder to make decent signings in January. Its generally players that aren't playing and so are not match fit or loan signings to fill cracks in the squad for cover
