What amazes me is that most of them don't have a pot to piss in. Their (several kids) are running around with their arses hangin out their trousers and yet they see fit to waste a small fortune on a season ticket and travel through to the sess pit that is Glasgow every couple of weeks.

I was born in the west to weegie parents, and my first football games were at Ibrox. I know, I'm sorry, I had no choice. About the 5th match I ever went to was the Ibrox disaster, but fortunately was in the carpark before it all happened. These things kind of stick in you're mind though.

Moved to Perth in late 1971,remember driving past Muirton Park and asking my dad,"what's that, who the hell are St. Johnstone",(I probably didn't say hell).

About 2 weeks later, he took me to find out, and here I am, Up the Saintees.

Know a couple of guys from Perth who used to be home and away Saints fans and now worship atIbrox. Can't understand it myself, don't see the fun in winning almost every week then making a complete arse of yourself in Europe.

I hate the **** more than the ****,

why would you assume that most Saints fans hate the **** more?

you may be correct, I'm just wondering why you think that.

There could be many reasons why anyone hates one more than the other.

more **** than **** support Scotland.

Green is a horrible colour

majority of **** support Ireland.

Although I hate them both I also admire both of them for making Scottish football world famous.

I am talking about the good points in that respect, not the famous bad points.

Hate them both, but the **** probably just edge it. I think it's the union jacks that do it.

By the way, did you know that Nil by Mouth defines the terms "***" and "***" as sectarian, but since we hate/slag them both I reckon that makes it ok.

based on the opinions of the fans i know, so yes could easily be wrong

what does it stand for that is so offensive?

Here's a view from an enlightened Englishman:

Take down the Union Jack, it clashes with the sunset

And put it in the attic with the emperors old clothes

When did it fall apart? Sometime in the 80s

When the Great and the Good gave way to the greedy and the mean

Britain isn’t cool you know, its really not that great

It's not a proper country, it doesn’t even have a patron saint

It's just an economic union that’s passed its sell-by date

Take down the Union Jack, it clashes with the sunset

And ask our Scottish neighbours if independence looks any good

‘Cos they just might understand how to take an abstract notion

Of personal identity and turn it into nationhood

Is this the 19th century that I’m watching on tv?

The dear old Queen of England handing out those MBEs

Member of the British Empire - that doesn’t sound too good to me

Gilbert and George are taking the piss aren’t they?

Gilbert and George are taking the piss.

What could be more British than here’s a picture of my bum?

Gilbert and George are taking the piss

Take down the Union Jack, it clashes with the sunset

And pile all those history books, but don’t throw them away

They just might have some clues about what it really means

To be an Anglo hyphen Saxon in England.co.uk

Billy Brag if I'm not mistaken?

it is indeed lyrics from Billy Bragg whose book, The Progressive Patriot, expresses his view that English socialists can reclaim patriotism from the right wing.

Time to TAKE BACK THE UNION JACK.

No, he clearly says take down the union jack because of what it stands for, ie imperialism. When he refers to patriotism he means English patriotism and reclaiming the St George's cross from the right.

Yes but why can't it also relate to the union flag?

Why can't the union flag be reclaimed from the wankspots on the right?

Imperialism is dead, time to go forward me thinks.
