HOODLUM65
M OH only on the bench for the last couple of games......Even less game time next season when the transfer war chest finally opens and King spends some of his OWN money.Sorry, I made the last bit up. dunblanemike
For some reason, while watching the Danish series follow the money I keep comparing the character Sander with the King of ibroke. Dunno why..... :-) Tranmere Saintee
garydavidson
M OH only on the bench for the last couple of games......I believe they were using the challenge cup final as prep for the Scottish cup game (yes I laughed too) so that will be why he was not starting this one. Not so sure about the others.
Indicator
It appears a precedent was set. This was the first time this minor final has been played at Hampden. It was played at Hampden because one club has a massive fan base. And are in need of funds. The pitch was known to be in a dire condition prior to this match. The Warbmeister has complained about the state of the pitch. The pitch is due to be relaid on Wednesday.Three days before two cup semis will be played on consecutive days.Has anybody laid grass and expected it to root in three days. (rhetorical Q)Would it not have been sensible to preserve the pitch for the premier tournament? Is it just me or, are the SFA incapable of rational forethought or planning. (another rhetorical question)Carpet grippers are in order.Could be an interesting weekend. Edited April 11, 2016 by Indicator

I have a mental vision of a Tom & Jerry cartoon where one starts to run and the carpet just wrinkles up and gathers behind them. One of the two games will be like a cartoon comedy anyway. garydavidson

Abernethy Saint
will peterhead get half the gate money? Took a lot of googling, but it seems the home team - Queens Park - gets 15%, and then it's split 50 - 50. Presumably that's after costs. Must have been a nice wee earner for Saints over the years - McD has staged the final a record 9 times.

Abernethy Saint
As far as I can understand it, no team was ever relegated prior to 2012.

Indicator
Wasn't there a German and an Italian used similar tactics in the 1930's to ramp up the anti.I have to agree though - fans should be bitter.Basket of assets of a liquidated club bought for circa 5m and allowed to be renamed R*****s114 titles (at least 9 acquired under dubious circumstances.) passed to the new club by the SFA.Millions in social taxes remains outstanding and will never be paid.Hundreds of creditors still awaiting some recompense.LNS fine from 4 years ago still not paid to SPFL and still they are allowed to splash out something like 350k for MOH.Whether Saints have actually received any cash remains to be seen. Abernethy Saint
There would have been one months ago, but they can't until all legal proceedings involving various past directors, Administrators etc are done (including the one where Whyte claims to still own the asssets).
