unhinged, unfit, never been prolific - file under marcus haber

Haber hasn't come close to Watt, he was on the verge of joining Cardiff, who were chasing the Premiership, a few years back before they ran out of money.

Watt will be one of the best strikers in the league if he's motivated, that'll be the issue though

May's moved to number 17 permanently for this season.

Assume he feels a bit superstitious and hopes it'll help him have a better season than last year.

Noticed Craig was wearing 17 . Is that his new squad number. Don't remember him wearing it last season.

Sky sports also said Alston scored the 2nd goal as Hurst was wearing number 4. Is Alston still with us ?.Don't seem to remember being told he was injured.

Liam Craig is 26, we have no number 17. Hurst is 31.

Theres probably some daft rule you can't have players using numbers over 23 in a friendly so they just went for whatever was available.

Assume Alston is still injured, can't remember hearing anything since his contract extension.

Alston was sitting along from me in the stand wearing the new tartan training tops.i reckon that means he is still with us .

This could go any way. Never played in over 11 months.

Training with Aberdeen but not wanted.

Hopefully he turns out to be another Swanson/Mikey.

I am sure Tommy can get the best out of him.

If not,he could always cut the grass.

theres a jungle at the stadium gates.

Given he played 45 minutes in Austria, I don’t think he’s injured. Simply being managed.

Flitted around / Loaner
Started pre-season last year with Charlton, deemed not good enough
Went abroad, quickly out of favour at Belgium second div team
Released from contract "paid up",
Could have had a club months ago, so clearly not very motivated.

Watt will be a stinker - if he scores more than 10 goals this season. I'll donate £100 to the charity of your choosing.

Be surprised if he starts more than 15 games.

He fell out with the manager at Charlton, who called him a prick at a supporters night, the same manager who was sacked not long after and has a history of falling out with players.

His manager in Belgium was Nigel Pearson, who came in not long after Watt was signed, and has a habit of choosing a string character and falling out with them to try and assert dominance in a dressing room.

He moved to Standard Leige for £2m, and Cardiff had a multi-million pound bid accepted but couldn't stump up the money. Three years ago he scored seven goals in the Championship, four years ago Stevie May scored nine goals in the Championship..

A signing, perhaps self touted, but it is one. Tony Watt, welcome to Perth.

Update On Twitter where he clearly gives the impression that he has been working hard in training for a few months in order to secure a contract at McD so well done to the boy. He must be one of the targets TW spoke about a few months ago.
