Welcome to the site Sean and thanks for your comments, as for the co-efficient I think we always rely on the likes of your team to keep it up, so it's nice to contribute once in a while!!

You guys probably kind of expect results like this, but we don't even expect to be taking part, so I believe that was probably the best result in our history.

Good luck yerselves in the CL, but watch yer backs in the SPL!!!

Hey thanks for the welcoming bud fully enjoyed your teams performance and watched a stream from the first minute to the last i was a st johnstone fan for the night without doubt i actually thought it was totally immense to see you guys beat them and the amount of fans you took there also was superb big respect and hey if you can beat this team then you can beat many others in the qualifiers they are not exactly mugs they usually mix it with the best and are well respected on the european scene so big big congrats

and i will be paying close close attention to the second leg again with my saints fan head on again :D as for us its a long route to the CL for us but here is hoping for our sake and scottish football we can do our country proud as you guys did tonight

Had the most hectic evening but saw most of the match online. Still can't believe it. That was a textbook away performance. Every one of the squad, fans and support are amazing and should be totally proud of themselves. Tommy Wright is an absolute hero after one game in charge. We did all the things we were screaming for under Lomas. Every player gets a 10/10 tonight. Missed the goal, but saw from 25 minutes onward.

Up there with the Hamburg result? Our best away win ever? It's got to be there or thereabouts.

Tommy Wright for the Hall of Fame!!!

Just back to hotel from an unbelievable night! People in the pub staring in disbelief! "Did that really happen". The march out to the ground was brilliant, game even better! The party in the pub was icing on the cake! Great to be a saintieeee! Never experianced anything better in my life! Mutual respect at the end of the game from both supports was good to see. Long journey home starts in a few hours!

Hello

Yeah, what can you say... Congratulations, and well deserved, first and foremost, I guess. Perhaps our nadir so far this season, utterly dreadful performance - not to take anything away from you. On the bright side, surely it's a kick up the arse, which we honestly need.

Other than that: Look forward to the away leg in Scotland, going to be a thriller. And, hey, if we're going out, there are loads cunty teams to get knocked out by, might as well be someone nice. Ran into the big marching pack of the travelling fans biking home from work today, good vibes was had from every away fan. Cheers.

Someone earlier complained about the home turnout. Considering it's a Europa League mid-week game during a period with shit weather and loads of people going on holidays, it wasn't too bad. Not very good either, but nothing to be ashamed about.

Also, the thing about our presumed arrogance about the game... Not really true, I don't think I've heard anyone say this was a walk in the park. We were expecting a better result than what we got, sure, but no one thought it'd be a pisstake. So that's a bit unfair on us, to be honest.

Having said that, I hope we do give you guys a ****ing pasting on home soil. Winner gets Shetland, eh? Let's do our forefathers proud.

Good luck, and thanks for the match

This match reminds me much of our only home loss in the league this season. 0-1 against Sandnes Ulf after an early goal for them. And then you, like them focused on counter attacks. A smart tactic as Rosenborg has problems playing against teams that stay extremely low. But doesn't really make you look like a great team.

Given tonight's performance, I will be incredible disappointed should we be eliminated by you guys. However, I expect you to be better and a more attack minded team at home. And that will probably suit Rosenborg better as well.

Anyone know if there will be stream available?

Might be a stream, but you should know that the Scottish media HATE us, and will consider Hibs attempts at overturning a 1st leg 2-0 defeat to Malmo far more worthy of coverage.

I have waited some time before posting...... but I genuinely believe this is one of the best results in my life time. Simply magnificent. Remember we have just had a pre -season taking on the likes of Cowdenbeath and Morton, this team is half way through their season and are rated throughout Europe. As a previous poster mentioned they are "no mugs". This is what makes supporting a team like St.Johnstone so special, Absolutely outstanding. Well Done Saints !

I thought it would be a really hard game. Rosenborg are the most successful team in Norwegian football and flying at the top of their league this season. But then I heard Tommy Wright talking about the game and I relaised while not going to be easy it is not worse than playing Celtic and maybe slightly easier. Next week is going to be hard; we can do it but but maybe we won't. That said better to have a 1-0 lead going into the home league. Play like tonight again and I think we'll be in the 3rd Round.
