I take it back. On you go, email your personal bank details to the club. I shouldn't criticise the club for recommending people transmit their bank details in plain text over one of the least safe mediums you could imagine. In fact, why don't we all just post them on WAP?

I'm pretty sure there are a selection of methods to pay, and that giving your details by email isn't the only option. Would you like the club to send round a securicor truck with police escort for you?

Thank fook I don't work for Saints. as popular as Nigel Farage at a gay rights rally.

You know what's worse than people who moan about saints? Self righteous people who are offended by anyone criticising the club, even legitimately. Get over it, Saints arent perfect. Pointing out to people not to send their bank details via email isn't being critical, its stating the bloody obvious.

I can't get to the ticket office during office hours so last year I phoned to renew my existing seat over the phone. You would think this was beyond difficult the way the person went on about how they didn't think they could do that. They must have had my details on a database somewhere? None of my details had changed, I just wanted to give them £320 up front and get it sorted out without any hassle. It's not difficult to take a credit/debit card payment over the phone if you have a card machine. It was a really difficult customer service experience to be honest but maybe they were exasperated after the hard work of the cup final.

But that's a very negative point in what is a positive thread in all reality. It is good it's already being rolled out. Having said that the email went to my spam folder and the subject on it was "test 1" which makes me wonder if it was actually meant to go out to people. I only actually knew about it because Kyle told me! Would've found the email eventually I suppose.

Weird it's not been an actual news story on the official website and not been mentioned on social media. I'm not entirely convinced it was meant to go out yet and will not be sending my payment details via email. They are probably trying to be really up to date because email is a preferred method of communication for a lot of people and haven't really thought it through properly. I will phone again or go in at some point if I can.

I'm really surprised at this Sam, this is the method I've used for 10 plus years and never have an issue, I just phone up give my seat number, address, credit card details and pay over the phone. Usually takes 5 mins. Usually renew my brothers ticket at same time and they post his to him and mine to me. There are 2 separate phone numbers for saints, the main number and the ticket office, you maybe weren't speaking to a ticket office person.

Think you're possibly right about the email going out prematurely in error, but the details are on the website if you click on season tickets you'll see the information, as per the email.

I received the email and am not currently a season ticket holder. The possibility of increased pay at the gate next season is utterly moronic. Prices should be being reduced. If only we had a proper fair tv deal and a sponsor.....

Unfortunately in life, everything gets more expensive. It's called inflation.

Interesting to know you've been doing this for years and I was surprised at how difficult it was at the time too. I phoned the ticket office number but you're right in that I was perhaps talking to someone who was only in there helping out as he had to put me on hold while he checked with someone if it was ok.
