All train lines are down, reviewed at 4pm just incase anyone has travel plans. No buses getting out on... You can go via Aberdeen and down the coastline with the same ticket

You beat me to it Soupy! Was up in Inverness yesterday as I work on the railway. Anyone from Inverness expect your journey to take between 4 hours to Edinburgh if you are traveling by rail. If you live further North of Inverness there are no trains running so make alternative transport arrangement to get to Inverness. The only trains running from Inverness are the ones to Aberdeen so make plenty of plans before tomorrow regarding connecting trains to Edinburgh. It's not recommended you travel via the A9 if you are traveling by car so unless your rich enough to hire a plane from Inverness Airport ;) or going via Aberdeen (where the roads will be mobbed) , Rail is the only realistic safest option, best of luck guys :)

Note: Your ticket to Edinburgh will be valid so there is no need to buy a ticket to Aberdeen nor from Aberdeen to Edinburgh, and vise versa. The nearest railway station is Haymarket so alight there, 10 minute walk to Tynecastle from there.
