Cleveland-Saint
This is going to be one interesting election.....feels a bit surreal. All around me at work, I'm seeing Trump supporters come out of the woodwork and become more vocal about it as he 'gains acceptance' from other mainstream politicians. babychunder
I think Trump has the nomination nailed doon. If Sanders beats Clinton, then it will be close. If Clinton wins the nomination, Trump will be President. sixties saintee
Cleveland-Saint
Don't agree on this one, he may win nomination, but will lack complete support from many conservatives. I think Trump loses in both scenarios, in fact Bernie or Hilary would probably beat any republican nominee right now, they have no real leader that can draw in the broader votes across both parties. A lot of republicans will write off this election and focus on organizing their party to oust Hilary in 2020. Either way though, a Trump nomination will make for plenty of political entertainment in the run-up to November.

Cleveland-Saint
Whats peoples views on Bernie, will he beat Hilary ?? Very unlikely in my opinion, and he doesn't have smooth talking Bill wooing voters over left and right.

Cleveland-Saint
Hope Bernie gets it otherwise more of the same, Bernie and Jeremy dream team. He's a bit like Trump, in that he doesn't really care what people think of him and will always say whats on his mind. He seems to have captured young liberals hearts but not older, ethnic voters or the wealthier middle class democrats. He's also going to pound the middle class as a decent chunk of his trillions of dollars of tax raising. But his grand and purist ideas have little to no chance of getting through congress, so to me are mostly empty words, even if they sound exciting. We can settle up at the next expat fund-raising dinner or tbd 'glory hunter' match. I will take no pleasure in either winning this, but will make for entertaining telly for a few months....
