Edstar101
Celtic v Rangers these days has the same attraction as the Jim Rose Circus at the Edinburgh FestivalYou don't want to watch it, and you don't for the quality, you watch it for the freak factor just to see which team / set of supporters disgrace themselves the most HOODLUM65
HOODLUM65
Just noticed a team named Chicken Inn fc who play at the Bulawayo stadium Zimbabwe. Some of their players have weird names such as the keeper Elvis Chipezeze , Bernard Passmore (defender), Teenage Hadebe (who is 20), and a forward Edmore Chirambadere (not good at heading?) HOODLUM65
The Cauld night at the u20's but otherwise a good result. 4-2 victory puting the team ahead of St.Mirren, into third place with both teams having fulfilled their fixtures.Celtic played 30 (2 games to go) 84 pts.Hamilton played 31 (1 game to go) 62 pts.Saints played 32. Finished on 52 ptsAberdeen played 29 (3 games to go) 47 pts.Saints guaranteed 4th spot and still an outside chance of third depending on Aberdeen's results. All in all an outstanding achievement from the young guys. Also good to see guys from the lower aged groups getting promoted to the u20's, albeit on the bench.A diminutive guy called Jamie Docherty (who I was unaware of) will have gained invaluable experience, having come on as a sub.Strange formation, with Michael Doyle appearing on the right wing more than at right back and Paul Simpson at left back breaking forward to great effect.Saints were slow out of the blocks, with Thistle having the better of the early exchanges.Around the 13th minute mark and slightly against the run of play Saints took the lead through Scott Brown who curled a right foot free kick around the defensive wall and managed to bend it inside the keepers left hand post for the opener. Tremendous effort. This was soon followed with a second goal, when Michael Doyle burst forward on the right and delivered a superb cross into the box and onto the head of Greg Kerr, who cushioned a header inside the keeper's left hand post.2 nil up and not firing on all cylinders. From a Saints corner on the right, the Ref. spotted McCawl being hauled to the deck in the middle of the box and immediately blew for a spotkick.Despite the keeper's antics at the penalty spot, as George Hunter waited to place the ball, he was soon picking the ball out of the net for the third time, when George cooly deceived the keeper, who dived to his left as the striker chipped the ball to the keeper's right.3 nil up and coasting. However, as the halftime whistle approached, the Jags reduced the leeway, when a punt upfield found the big number nine Nesbitt one on one with his marker.Using his marker as a shield between the ball and the keeper, he curled a great right footed effort into the left side of the unsighted keeper's goal. Halftime 3-1.Game went a bit flat in the second period with Partick pickings up bookings in their attempts to halt Saints progress. However the gap between the teams increased to three when a quick counter attack by Saints ended with Hunter thumping the ball past the goalie's despairing dive.5 minutes from time the Jags substitute scored to make the final score 4-2. Cagey
Ta Hoodlum.Looks like Tommy is trying Doyle as wingback or Spoony role. Could end up being kept as back up in afew positions & rarely getting used, similar to Caddis & look what that did for his career.

sixties saintee
Watched the last 30 mins of Hibs game, we all know what a fud Sutton is but you know what team he wanted by his reaction to the non penalty must have showed the incident wae McCracken about 12 times and still he wouldnt let it go.Interestingly enough the gang of four couldnt agree either at the end if it was a penalty, one said yes 2 said no , 1 sat on the fence. Abernethy Saint
It was an obvious pen with the benefit of several camara angles and loads of replays, but the ref can't give it if he doesn't see it, or thinks it's accidental.

HOODLUM65
What a pathetic attempt made by Aberdeen tonight against Hearts to convince us that they are the second best team in Scotland.I am aware that there is the argument that the league table never lies.I would counter that with we are a better team, however our downfall has been results against the teams in the bottom six. It's a pity that when we play against shite teams we get dragged down to their level. Can we not just have a breakaway top six? south inch
Hibs even.Would like to see Falkirk triumph over Killie. Agreed, its a lot closer to home. Also although they too have an artificial pitch (I think) it looked a lot better quality than Killie's or Hamilton's so maybe Macca could play on it.
