Is Scottish Football truly incompetent?

Well that's it for another year.

Well and truly humped in the Camp Nou. Awffly embarrasing.

True, but better teams than Celtic have been pumped at the Camp Nou. Surprised Rogers went for 5 at the back. Should have treated this game as a "free" and went for it. Barca are used to playing teams who try to park the bus, as shown by their short passing and drifting movement even in the oppositions box.

2, maybe 3 of their goals potentially offside too.

Still, a fantastic team to watch and the 3-pronged attack of Neymar, Suarez and Messi is a joy to behold. Even if Neymar is a petulant little w@nker.

The flat five at the back was daft against small, mobile strikers who make lots of forward runs into the channels to pick up short dinked passes. First, you need some players in front to close down the dinked passes. Second, you need a shape with the full backs higher up the pitch pressing their midfield. Third, the central defenders should play a little deeper to snuff out the runs.

Most of the threat from Barca is through the middle, especially if you push your full backs up to shut down theirs. A fast, mobile central back three, maybe with one acting as "sweeper" in the middle is the way to play them.

Celtic squandered a lot of possession last night, we'd beat them if they played like that against us.

PS Can you imagine what Barca would do to Rangers, Celtic having put five past them?? Tee Hee.

Another skelping likely tomorrow I think, Man.City look far too good for a team whose defence still looks error prone despite good domestic results.  Celtic's only hope will be to take every single chance which comes their way which if luck is with them might mean two goals.

As Tony Hancock was wont to say when something he didn't expect happened "stone me".  Well at least they did make sure that each of their shots on target finished in the back of the net.
