Guest ScottMann
Reading all the reviews of his career and the plaudits of what a great guy he is must feel a bit like being at your own funeral for Dave!

Ali91
Dave was the only player in the last 15 years I'd genuinely call a legend. Not sure if serious...

Cagey
Think we should retire the number 2 shirt for the season, even if we bring in a defender in January.

Cagey
Heard Dave on the radio yesterday saying he was coaching the under 20's on a voluntary basis. Would have to be as I think they have their quota of coaches.
Pelosi
Brilliant piece in the Sunday Mail sports section by Gordon Waddell comparing Dave Mackay's attitude as a player and the current situation with Joey Barton. I must admit reading the first bit brought a tear to my eye, realising that our cup winning captain's playing career is over! Only wish I knew how to post the piece, but maybe someone on here will be able to do this. Norsaint
mainstand
Heard Dave on the radio yesterday saying he was coaching the under 20's on a voluntary basis. He was taking the under 20s on Friday. Very calm and authoritative looking approach no jumping about shouting. At the half time team talk he appeared to have the players full attention. Cagey
Nice to see the great man in with the fans yesterday. Is he no longer part of the Saints backroom staff. Would have thought he would have been in stand with Macca etc.
Abernethy Saint
I think he's being allowed to work, probably on a voluntary basis, with the young lads until he gets offered a paid coaching or managerial role somewhere. He has all his badges and was basically asking for a job (no criticism intended) on off the ball at the weekend.
