The Tory scrooges have spent loads on Lighting up the City, yet canny afford to help out the Perth food bank with their £14,000 per year hefty rates bill, which may force it to close.

Aye that's right, fancy lights before feeding the starving.

See today's Courier.

Council starting to charge £25 a year for emptying Brown bins.

No word of help for the Food Bank.

Councillors have agreed to fund a series of bellringing recitals at St John's kirk, to the tune of £2,610 (no pun intended).

Take it that all other churches/faiths requests will be considered favourably.

Tories certainly know how to squander dosh. Should be coming out of their own pockets.

A94 at Whinniemuir (Gannochy) Puffin crossing being installed by Tayside contracts.

Scheduled works from 6 Nov.2017 to 22 Dec. 2017.

Temporary traffic lights WHEN the men are on site.

So far the Puffin has not made an appearance ( is it in Panto), a section of the verge has been dug up and partial section of tarmac laid.

New bus shelter installed to replace previous one.

At the rate the work is proceeding, it will be lucky if it is finished by 22 Jan.2018., much to the annoyance of road users.

Get the finger out, please.

No surprise that this is Still ONGOING ,with temporary traffic lights appearing and disappearing , just like the Tayside contracts workmen.

Hopefully the filling of potholes won't take as long, as they have already cost me a new front spring on my car.

The third such repair in the last few years.

This council is obsessed with f ing lights. Now going to spend another £333000 on feckin lights whilst shutting down 2 care homes.

Has no one told them we have an aging population ,with dementia & altzimers becoming more common.

Two sets of lights have been installed a couple of hundred metres apart, yet the job 'ain't finished as the lights have not been turned on , but covered up since installation date.

Might change my forecast to Jan 2019.

Maybe the money has been diverted elsewhere, as Cagey has indicated above.
