Saints vs Thistle 13/5/17

77 posts in this topic

Opportunity to seal 4th place and bring European nights back to Perth. Haven't played well against Thistle this season (particularly at home) but a great chance to end Hearts chase.

With Ando suspended and East Fifes season finished, I would be keen to bring in Jason Kerr. Has had high praise the last 2 seasons from them, sop would be good to see him in a Saints jersey. No Muzz either after ankle op but good thinking by the club to make sure he is fit for the European clashes

For those that aren't aware the club has made the theme for the day an 80s theme - http://www.perthstjohnstonefc.co.uk/news/post/saturdays-game-partick-be-80s-day

I assume that is a strictly music/fashion thing and not for the old hooligans to get excited.

Club are also going to be selling a retro top for £10 - http://www.perthstjohnstonefc.co.uk/news/post/retro-t-shirts-sale-saturday

I also see the club have been out and about at the schools again - https://twitter.com/St_Johnstone_FC/status/861901682053185536

Am going so we will get beaten.. Think the last time I saw us win in Perth was against Hearts in the league at the start of the season. Hopefully we play better against Partick this time than the last couple of times at home.

Perfect that Rangers v Hearts is early kick off

Means we will know exactly what we need to do

It could of course all go horribly wrong - Hearts win at Ayebrokes (however unlikely) and we fail yet again to turn up against Thistle and lose

All of a sudden, Wednesday night would be massive pressure

Man in the middle is Stephen Finnie.

Is he due us a penalty?

C.O.Y.S.

Just about every Ref in Scotland is due us a penalty apart from Bobby Madden.

I'm coming to MacDonald Park for the Hearts game. Can someone tell an old Exile where it is please ?

Muirton, mate, next to the ice rink. Don't worry if it's a bit quiet, everybody tends to come late. KO is 8.15.

No matter the Hearts result ,hopefully we will not play for a draw.

Surely Tommy has the tactics & team laid out & won't change it regardless of that result.

at least tonight your views on the game may count rather than being  an armchair/stay away fan. #

P.S see if you can sort us an exiles section on here.

Sevco currently doing Hearts 2-1 and a red card for Bauben.

Sevco currently doing us a favour.

They could have done us a bigger favour by scoring more goals. They were shite but I think it is the first time I have wanted them to score goals.

Yes I felt bad wanting them to win.

From what I heard of the BBC commentary from outside Ayebroke (they are still no allowed in) the score was

Big Load of Shite FC  2  Bigger Load of Shite FC  1

So come on Saints seal things today and then lets enjoy our last two matches.
