rik2304
Might have to be sacrificed to allow us to replace Swanson.
HOODLUM65
Such a reliable and dependable deputy with tons of experience. Today he won loads in the air against giants, so much so that some were subbed. If he's happy to stay, I won't be disappointed.
Edstar101
Tam was class today. One absolute cracking, well-timed tackle in the first half and solid in the air
Dave H
Even just for his European penalty winner... Might come in useful next season.. Always committed and he's good in the air.. Good reliable player to call upon. Edited May 13, 2017 by Dave H

Bruno Strasser
I think we should keep him. As a squad player I don't think we could get better.
Cagey
Yeah, don't want to hold back young players but Tam is only real cover for left back & has shown he can cover at cb so wouldn't be disappointed if he got a new contract. Question is. Will he be happy to sit on bench for most of season. Depends on if he gets any offers. If anyone saw the game then he will have a few. SaintJet
A colleague of mine ( Dundee fan) telling me that Tam is close to agreeing terms with the Dees. Anyone have any info on this? I will be sad to see Tam move if this is true.

Widge
Good, we'd be making Dundee a worse team by doing this.
R.B.B:- Adz
Only worth letting Tam go to the Dee's if we are using his wages to strengthen other areas of the pitch. Liam Gordon or Ally Gilchrist can do the same job Scobbie has done last season. However, if Tommy uses his wages to try and replace him with another average utility defender, I find it hard to believe that we would find a better one.... Templar Saint
Good, we'd be making Dundee a worse team by doing this. Rubbish. Tam may make the odd error but other defenders do as well but some fans never moan about their favourites. Get Tam Scobbie re-signed. Oldmuirton
Tam has never let us down but he's not quite good enough. I'd rather keep Clive Smith or bring one of the youngsters in. PanamaSaint
rik2304
If Tam can get a start somewhere else then all the best. I'm quite fond of him even though he's 75% bombscare. Oldmuirton
Radford 72
If Scobbie leaves, I suspect it could be this time next year before we know how big an impact it has. He's the go-to man if one of the first choice players are unavailable and has always seemed to accept that role in the squad. There's a mistake in him but he's pretty reliable on balance. If he stays he'll continue to offer the manager that option next season but where does it leave the four young defenders he has coming through? If Scobbie goes it should open up a pathway for them (depending on what happens with Watson) but what if they don't shape up as required? Even allowing, if he does leave then I hope TW at least takes the risk on the young guys and doesn't bring in another experienced defender.
