Guest ScottMann Posted July 25, 2017 Report Share Posted July 25, 2017 I always thought the answer to this question was, in out era, Johan Neeskens and/or Johnny Rep who played for a Dutch youth team when the 1970 UEFA European Youth Championships was held in Scotland. From the little info I could find on google about it though it turns out the Dutch played in Dundee, not Perth, and the game we got was Belgium v Romania. The teams aren't given. Pretty likely he played at Muirton that half season. Total car crash, turned out later he was pissed as a fart and turned up 5 minutes before the game, clutching a bottle. He got booked during the game, and then got sent off after the final whistle ( in those days there were no cards and you had to read it in the paper the next day).
