Hope the loan contract is not one of these stupid ones with a minimum games needing to be played with us until the end of the season. Poor lad looked lost for long periods. Broon
Not many positives from that game. Improved when Spoony came on. Midfield never laid a glove on them all game and Willock was brutal. Mannus had a stinker too. Ando can't play against Morelos. He gets too tight and they just lift it in behind him. Way too easy. I left when they started singing God Save the Queen. Bad enough watching that performance without listening to that rubbish too. templeofsaints
Pluses - Kerr took his goal well (21/1 as well!!!) , Alston has improved and Williams showed some neat touches. Negatives - Matty was poor, Mannus was poor for their 3rd (was never a freekick anyway) and 4th and Ando/Comrie were poor for the other goals - caught napping. Muzz struggled after Murphy's 1st minute assault on him and the rest of the team although not a disaster individually just didn't link up together to get any sort of rhythm going. TFOD deserved their win - played some good football at times and carved us open all too easily. Saturday will be a totally different game and needs a killer instinct throughout the side. 541ntees
That was dire. im not having this we cant compete rubbish. we were outfought and 2nd to every ball which disappoints me. hope Zander is back now. Millar will stroll back into his slot next to muzz . Willocks performance was close to Fishers at Motherwell ;ets hope he improves as much as Darnell. hollywood passes flying astray and even when Morellos ran clear he couldnt even trip him up properly. Williams had a cracking shot an 1 decent turn ither than that he was very poor just ran into trouble. was sure windass misy have been offside as the statues all looked over to the linesman but ive been told he was clearly on. the 4th goal was a comedy of errors. Kerr should have passed back to Mannus Craig stops at the throw in to claim for offside rather than track Taverneir how Mannus never stopped the ball is a mystery. Could not agree with you more.. sectarian crap.... no room for it in a civilised society... it’s what puts me off wanting to attend old firm games... between God Save the Queen and anti IRA songs plus a bad performance from our team not much to cheer about.. don’t like singling out one person, but Mannus was dreadful.... all round sub par performance from the whole team. Can’t help but think TW has faux pas’d letting Paton go.. never mind there’s a real big game on Saturday.... COYS

I like Mannus and thought he was coming back to his best but he looked awful! The free kick was very poor he set up the wall and then went down like a foldy up camp bed. Rangers were pretty strong throughout the pitch so we cant read too much in to this doing- we have bigger fish to fry.
RandomGuy
Free kick wasn't Mannus' fault, if the wall jumps they stop it. garydavidson
dave mc
And if he moves his feet he gets there no problem, but he doesn't , more players are keeping the ball low, so walls stand tall
Kilgour
Murphy complaining about Saints brutal tackling especially Willock ! He must have overlooked his own lunge on Muzz and various others from his team mates throughout the match. The better team won,but lets not go back to us being labelled dirty again. jhq
That was a reality check after some of the over reaction on here after the County game. As I said after that game some of the players here need moved on in the summer. Let's get enough points on the board now, put this season down to experience and start building for next season. Hamilton game is the important one now.

Agree, Wright's interview on the radio after the game was good in the respect of the recruitment policy needs overhauled and a new scouting network put in, and he did say he was part of the current process, obviously sees it is not working very well and needs seriously addressed, going by Willock last night, guy looked lost. Mannus far too slow at the freekick, and it is him who sets the wall and his own starting position Random chap Edited February 28, 2018 by crieffsaintandy

jhq
Maybe the wall were instructed not to jump? The free-kick is immaterial as are the stats you posted earlier. Saints were poor last night and deservedly beaten. Any amount of excuses won't change my mind on that. dave mc

Maybe they were, sometimes you just have to say it was a good goal, and there's nobody to blame. Not sure why Mannus is being slated for that or the Morelos goal tbh. Have not watched it again but at the time it appeared he had hit his shot wide before making sure he ran into the keeper. As for why people are questioning Mannus he was back to his worst last night, not communicating with his defenders and as already stated he was rooted to the spot on the free kick and went down slower than a week in jail. The Morelos goal Mannus was anticipating a shot up his inside and was reacting accordingly, the last thing he was anticipating was a header like that. In the free kick they will have known that our walls do not jump. If we were used to jumping then as Dave said they would have just went low. Mannus could not be blamed for that as his wall was covering that side of the goal.
Bruno Strasser
Only bright spot for me was meeting two German Chaps over for the game. Saints now have a Dusseldorf Fanclub . Not sure what they made of SLF after the game.
garydavidson
Watching the highlights was fairly depressing. Looked like we just stood and watch them play football but with only eyes for the balls and not the men running around them. Really is saddening when we see performances like that v the old firm. SB or TW it doesn't matter. Can't judge on just one game but the teams around us seem to be recruiting better than us. If we do survive the drop we will only be postponing it unless we step up our game on the recruitment front. crieffsaintandy and 55saint
