For some generations of Saints supporters, trips to Palmerston were very much the norm but for any fans not yet of age where you can buy drain cleaner in B&Q, they will only remember the one visit, our meek surrender of the Scottish Cup in 2015. Some great games between the teams in the noughties but never an easy place to go.

One man who regularly tormented us was Stephen Dobbie and, after spells down south, he's back in Dumfries and still looking as dangerous as ever. With the mercurial Gary Harkins also in their ranks, plenty for Saints to be wary of.

I think Tommy Wright will match them up 4-4-2, in the hope that the better players, in theory, win the game. Probably the only decision he has to make if he does go that way is who his centre backs will be. Shaughnessy got 90 minutes on Wednesday night; good for his fitness but probably means another full game is beyond him at this stage in his recovery.  Given it's a plastic pitch and the fact Anderson has missed some training this week, I'll guess we'll be back to Gordon and Kerr, the former more than meriting another opportunity after being left out against Hibs.

Clark

Foster - Gordon - Kerr - Tanser

Wright - Davidson - Craig - Kennedy

McMillan - Watt

Public warning for those going by train.

Be mindful where you sit, as there may be a set of bagpipes vying for the seat, en-route to the World pipe band Championships in Glasgow.

C.o.y.s.

No amount of bagpipes could compete with Gordon muir.
