Alston for me this week. He did alright against Dundee and Hamilton I felt but Saturday was more complete. He's still got a bit to learn as a central midfielder but his goal threat is a big plus.

Plenty of other good performers too. For example, great to see the confidence of Tanser, in the first half especially.

What a pity that we gave Easton a contract'''  I suspect he's on $75K and probably  never going to be his best.. Well done Tanser always liked him turning out to be a real unsung hero for saints

What if Tanser gets injured, suspended or loses form?  How would you know how much Easton is on? What makes you think he can't get back to what he was?  What a strange attack on a player who wasn't even playing.

I do agree that Tanser was MOM on Saturday though,  he was tremendous.   The lad has improved beyond all recognition since he first arrived.

Alston for me, times his runs into the box well and has completely proved me wrong with how well he can defend. Think he's finally found a role at the club.

Didn't see much about Tanser to be raving about tbh, got beaten a few times by allowing GMS time on his left foot, and doesn't really get as many good balls in as last season. I'm happy to admit I'm likely to be wrong as the vast majority have voted for him here, and it's far more likely I'm wrong then all of them tbh, but it's an opinion.

Somewhere in the middle on Tanser for me. First half I thought he was excellent, second half I agree with RG a bit that GMS created most of Aberdeen's openings running down Tanser's side. Tough opponent though.

Foster and Alston were strong contenders, but went for McMillan. He wasn't a stand out, but great run for the goal, and he won a few headers both in attack, and especially when defending set plays. He does a lot of work for the team.

Hes made 3 league starts this season: scored 2, an assist for Watt v Dundee, and his header was saved for Alston to score the rebound at Hamilton. Out of a total of 4 league goals that's a decent impact, whilst he's gone relatively unnoticed with Watt obviously getting a lot more attention.

I think McMillan played the passes for Alstons chance, and the Callachan penalty incident too.

Can't seem to edit for some reason. Should read 'out of a total of 5 league goals' in the last sentence.

Tanser for me, closely followed by Foster and Kerr.

I do see improvements in Alston but for a central midfielder I still think he needs to be on the ball more. We have probably had less possession in games than each of the 5 league teams we've played this season and I think that's down to the lack of touches our central midfield get on the ball. He's a great threat going forward for sure but when he's not making late run into the box he needs to be getting into positions to receive and pass the ball. When we don't have the ball he also needs to be getting closer to the opposition rather than standing off. I do think he's learning though and has done enough to keep his shirt against Rangers. Will be interesting to see who goes in next to him.

Not really as like I say Easton is now a waste of money  and will never recapture his previous form and if Tanser gets injured I guess Easton can play 2min LAUGH OUT LOUD

I can guarantee you ask anybody if they would like these wages available for Wright to spend

Voting would be YESSSSSSSSSSSSS

Taking digs at injured players is a pretty crappy thing to do. Players get injured - it happens. The club does the right thing in standing by those players and recuperating them. What information do you have access to that allows you to assess Easton's future contribution, and what would you have the club do differently?

To be honest my thoughts are that we will not see him in a Saints jersey again. Hope I am wrong but his injury has dragged on for a while & his specialist says he doesn't need an operation.

Was talking to him on Saturday night at Midges boxing dinner and he was very confident of being back pretty soon in fact his only concern and I quote “The team don’t need me the now” .And before anybody says that’s a bad attitude. He was joking.

Not a dig just a fact... He hinted about better opportunities when he got his new contract all I'm saying pity he didn't go..I wouldn't ask the club to do anything else as I have nothing but respect for the way the club treats it's players..there doing all they can for the boy....
