Surely you didn't miss the sarcasm in the post?

If you think RandomGuy’s post is anything but dripping in sarcasm then you’ve been totally taken for a sucker by it.

Cagey as always is chatting nonsense though, so you’re right with 1 out of 2.

Yep, completely whooshed. Apparently I am idiot 2. Apologies to RandomGiy.

Belfast Telegraph speculating that O'Neill will take charge of potential play off games in March, and if that's successful, will then be allowed to take charge of them in the Euros next Summer.

Apparently this was a clause in the deal for him joining Stoke.

Just pure guesswork on my part, but it might be the case that they dont actively seek and hire a new manager until after the play offs in March, and maybe even until after the Euro tournament.

Four being talked about seem to be Tommy, Robinson at Well, the Nrn Irn U-21 Manager, and David Healey, their hero, who has done well at Linfield in his first job. Presumably Tommy v Robinson, experience v current greater success. Much may depend on their relative finishing position in this year’s SPPfLPL.

I doubt that Stoke in their precarious position would agree to a part time manager.

It's already been confirmed hes taking charge of Stoke this weekend, then Northern Ireland the next.

I know that ,just saying I can't see them agreeing to be part time. I might be wrong but that would be unusual

Tommy's magic CV that the Six Counties maybe looking at obviously has no entry for 2019. He was talking himself up for the post last week,  as he realises what a mess things are in Perth at the moment.

He was talking himself up this morning...

Still don’t think sacking him is the answer, but how long will the Chairman hold on for? Considering there’s the chance, however small, of him getting the N Ireland job (& us getting a payout for it), I think we’ll have Tommy until the end of the season at least. In fact, I don’t think he’d sack him if we went down.

Wright deserves the opportunity to sort this out. Whether he can or not is the question.

It is plain to see that our back four cannot defend, but we have known that for some time and they don't seem to be getting any better. We have at least two coaches who were defenders (Cleland & Maybury) but nobody seems to be able to get them to do the basics. How many times will the likes of Ralston & Tanser simply allow crosses into the box and when they come in, we are just far to passive, Tanser in particular).

We are going to get some amount of 'doings' before the end of the transfer window....we can only hope those around us also lose and we are still within catching distance of them when the window does end.

Surely it is what St Johnstone deserves rather than what Wright deserves?

Broon with not sack him, as he will not be willing to pay compo. Very big 3 games coming up.

Don't really get where you're coming from with that. The Broons have been ruthless before (think Alex Totten by the Christmas tree, and Connolly getting punted after less than a year), and if they need to be they'll be ruthless again. The club has £2 million in the bank and if they decide they need to sack him, they'll sack him.

I just don't think we/they are at that point yet though. If there's one manager in the world who has enough credit in the bank to buy himself time to turn things round, it's Tommy Wright. But of course that credit won't last forever and the pressure's seriously on now. I'd also say there's zero chance of him getting the NI job in this form.

Tommy identifies the targets, brown does the contract negotiating and signing off the new recruits.

We have signed players that are not good enough and that is largely down to Tommy but the wider picture on the balance and make up of the squad overall is as much down to brown as it is Tommy.

Tommy is the best man for the job, brown needs to work with him in the transfer window to make sure we finish no worse than 10th which is still very achievable.

If brown can't get this right he needs to move on as much as Tommy.

Tommy can only work wae the money he is given hence the lack o quality.

There's plenty of money been spent, its just not been distributed evenly across the 3 areas of the team, defence, midfield and attack.

Don't know if that's browns fault or Tommy's fault or both but current mix is imbalanced and it has got us in the mess we are in.

Needs sorted in January transfer window but we must try and find another 7 or 8 points before then.
