Cumbo
Its 3rd v 2nd this Saturday at Riverside Stadium as Jeanfield take on Broxburn Athletic in the EOS Conference C. The 2 cup games have brought one win each this season and have been enthralling matches. Both sides love to get the ball down and the surface at Jeanfield is suited to that. With Saints in the granite city why not come down and back the Swifts. Its surely better than doing the Christmas shopping. Please note kick off is now 1.30pm not 2pm as advertised. Cumbo
Jeanfield Swifts 2 Broxburn Athletic 0 ⚽ Scott Smith ⚽ Fraser Smith Swifts moved up to second place in Conference C with an excellent victory today as second half goals from the Smith brothers gave us victory. The home side looked more likely to score in the goal less opening half that was marred by an injury to Connor Kelly. Following a tackle he landed badly and dislocated his elbow. This caused a delay of 30 minutes while we waiting for an ambulance to arrive. Scott Smith scored his first Swifts goal stroking home from inside the box midway through the half. He then won a penalty with 5 minutes to go while was despatched into the top corner by his older brother Fraser. The visitors threw everything at the hosts as darkness descended at the Riverside. An excellent win for Swifts in front of a large crowd again at the Riverside who kept on driving the home side on. Our thoughts tonight are with Connor Kelly and we hope that he recovers from his injury as soon as possible. Apologies to those who thought it was a 2pm kick off. That was my mistake in not updating the website and calling The Courier. Next week Swifts are again at home this time to Heriot Watt University. Kick off is 1.30pm south inch
