I think some of the guys out on loan may be able to play for a Saints Colts side as well? Sure this happened last year, in the reserve league any way. I may be wrong.

yes, I think that happened with Hendry last season.

I think all loans are now classed a "development loans", so they can play for youth sides.

I might be miles out with that, but I'm sure I've seen it mentioned by lower league fans.

A loan player can play in non first team games for the lending club.

The St Johnstone cults have been drawn at home to Cover Rangers for the 1st round with the winner going on to face Brora Rangers or Aberdeen Colts.

Yes that is the actual name of the cup.

The guys out on loan can play for Saints. I know at least Olly Hamilton is playing. Cove are tipped to win League 2 and have invested substantially. The guy Fraser Fyvie plays for them now as well. A couple of Aberdeen loans as well.

Would you really consider it an embarrassment? If anything, I'd say that Cove will be comfortable favourites.

They are with Bet 365 at the moment, evens to win. Saints 2/1.

Was at this, young lads did well on a horrible wet night.

I suspect the plan was to give Liam Gordon 70 mins and it was more a priority to not risk him for longer than it was try win the game as he looked good and I don’t think was injured or anything when he came off. The defence didn’t look as good once he came off and no doubt it influenced the game.
