Pre season in the land of the little people

Recommended Posts

Summary

two diff teams basically played 45 mins each

st.johnstone just edged it as the better team

the second half team was more impressive

hendry impressed

of the trialists no 5 looks a find. A real presence at centre back - looks like a rugby prop! Nearly scored a thunderous screamer at the end from about 30 yards!

No 14 looked ok on left wing see what you think of him v Linfield

not many chances for the striker no 24 first half , except for the goal which was scruffy.

def defender looks promising - any ideas ?black player ? Big presence ? From his shouts sounded foreign ?

Do we need another winger? Spend the money on a striker.

(Belfastsaintee thanks for the updates and report)

I think the aim is more left side cover for defence as well so I would think that chap can play left back also.

Three of the trialists played and named. I wonder if the fourth one will be unleashed today or maybe he's not shown up too well.

The fourth trialist is a young goalkeeper who'd be third choice back-up if Ross Sinclair goes out on loan. Wouldn't be too surprised if he doesn't play a part in friendlies and Tommy makes a judgement based purely on what he sees in training.

Ok. I'd just never seen anything about him mentioned. Thanks.
