patsy
Its meant to be a loan deal for Morgan now. He only signed for Yeovil this year so it's hardly a surprise. TW will get nothing to spend from the sale of may. He will get the combined wages of May,iwelumo,Cregg,Clancy, hasselbaink and dunne or what's left of them to sign 2 or 3 players. SB had actually been very clever. Had we signed a couple of players and then sold may we would all want another 2 or 3 to replace him. As it is we will sell May and replace him with the wages of the players we released at the end of last season. Meaning we will be happy with some new players and SB won't have to spend any more on the squad than he did last season and he will get 800k
auld reekie saint
Dundee are ready to farm out rising stars Craig Wighton and Cammy Kerr on loan deals. (Daily Express) - These two on loan deals until January would be a fantastic piece of business.Don't know these guys but are you suggesting we should take 2 players who are not yet good enough for Dundee? St Mikey
I'd be delighted with Heffernan at Saints. He'd work well with Macca in my opinion. Heffernan?? Seriously? A waste of a wage as we have Kane and O'Halloran that would do better.
pitsjfc
Joe Gormley and Adam Morgan would both be pretty decent signings and signing up muzz again would make for a pretty decent squad

Cheers for the vids. Morgan seems to have a good bit of pace about him and an arrow of a left peg. I'd sign him even if May stays.

belfastsaintee
sign Adam Morgan! Joe Gormley - norn irish league is amateur so not sure what the step up as this fella cant get a call up to the Northern ireland team but he could be but worth a punt "His 3rd season was a impeccable one partnering Liam Boyce Gormley scored 30 goals and won the Danske Bank Premiership title which wasnt in the Cliftonville trophy cabinet for 15 years. He also picked up the Irn Bru League Cup in his 3rd season with the club. His 4th season he helped Cliftonville retain the League & League Cup while scoring 37 goals and getting awarded for leagues top scored he also won a host of awards including player of the year. Joe Gormley is Cliftonvilles all time top scorer with 37 goals beating Liam Boyces record of 36 goals in a season in 2013." Would you care to elaborate? Are you saying he never signed for Yeovil this year? Or that wright will get money to spend?
Abernethy Saint
The money from the players released last year is already being spent, on improved contracts for most of the rest of the squad, particularly the young lads who would have probably doubled their wages on joining the first team squad. The money from the cup and Europe - surely no where near what people seem to think it is - is going on infrastructure to save money on future costs (eg Stirling) and to cover next year's loss if we don't do well. Sensible football clubs budget on near to worse-case scenarios. The money from May, in my view, will be split 3 ways: 1/ to replace him 2/ to strengthen one or two other positions 3/ see above. 1/ and 2/ will involve wages, not transfer fees (other than nominal ones). It's boring, but this is how the club has survived since the Broon's saved it. We could splash most of the May money on a couple of players - does anyone really think that's the way to go? ss75990
One of the money issues SB will be thinking about is floodlights. Mate of mine works for SB electrics and seemingly we are possibly getting floodlights built onto the roof of each of the stands as it is a UEFA rule for if we make it to the group stages. That might depend on tonights result if that goes ahead. Apparently not cheap though
