From the BBC

"Tommy Wright wasn’t free to chat to us pre-match because he was “on the phone”, so maybe some wheeling and dealing in the transfer market being done?"

Pity the photo was Tommy outside Mcdiarmid, knowing the beeb probably just ignored him as waiting on one of their favourites

Scougall gone.

Agreed early termination of contract.

Space for incoming????

A sad end to his Saints career.

Still would like to have known what went on there.  Or was it the case the guy just wasn't good enough or didn't settle?

Bottom line is he did not live up to the hype or expectations and walked away with some cash in his pocket whilst being free to negotiate with any team wanting to take him even after today.

'Too small', not heard that old fashioned view in years.  The game has moved on and height is irrelevant.  But wouldn't be surprised to hear this in grass roots Scottish football.

Scougall goes, helps pay MOH his wages.  Scougall being frozen out has the signs of Millar being frozen out.... fans will never know what went on.

Not helped by not having a run of games in his best position

For being too small he seemed to do ok in League 1.

Maybe Scottish football is better than some people think.  Doing okay in League 1 doesn't necessarily mean he's good enough for Saints.

As for the "best position " rubbish, it's up to him to fit into a system.

Too small and agree with above. Hope he fits in somewhere else.

That sort of attitude that has held back football for quite a few years.

Based on that view we will never see another kinky Johnston or Kenny Baird etc  and thank God messie wasn't Scottish he would have never made it.

I remember his brother Jinky who was dropped from the 1974 world Cup squad  for being drunk by our very own Willie Ormond.

Jinky was pretty small as well but didn't stop him playing over 500 games for Celtic.

He was essentially crap. I think we all wanted it to work. On paper looked a good move.

He was played in his "best" position a few times and...was poor.

A player of the calibre we thought we were getting should be markedly noteworthy in his "secondary" position and stand out in his "preferred" position and really shouldn't be needing a "run of games" to be of any note.

Sometimes things don't work out for whatever reason however people rarely leave us having been poor and take a step forward
