This is what the summer window & the May fiasco has done to the club. Johnny B

Last accounts showed £2.1m "cash in the bank". The 3rd highest amount any club has in Scotland.

That doesn’t really stand up though. We may have more in the bank than any other club but other clubs are considerably wealthier than us in a plethora of ways - including access to cash and required. Our £2 million bank balance is necessary for our very existence.

Its not, half that and we'd still be fine. Its purpose is to cover the million pound loss relegation brings for a season or two so we're not like ICT, who had to cull the majority of their squad and bring in absolute jobbers for pennies just to break even and who'd be absolutely ****ed if their manager wasn't able to make gold from shite. Is it better to use a quarter of that to fight off relegation, or sit on the full amount and see it whittled down within 2 years upon relegation? What was the creditors on the balance sheet? What was the debtors figure? People get fixated on the cash at the bank, they could have £2m in the bank on that one day but creditors of £1.5m etc. If they do have £2m in the bank then part of that will be needed to cover running costs due to lower crowds. We all know our limitations financially and unlike Hearts who are probably going to flush a few million down the pan to get rid of unwanted players we have to be prudent. Besides you don't seriosly think that TW hasn't been crunching numbers to see what he needs to do? There may well be a couple of new faces on board by the close of the window but in turn players will be moved out even if it is just on loan. We won't be the only club in this boat hoping a change of scenery for some misfit might benifit us in the short term. tucker, mainstand and blueheaven

I've been resigned to losing Matt since Steve Brown informed us that his agent wouldn't enter in to talks until the time was right for them. It's a shame but it is what it is. tucker

Just made the NI squad so has an incentive to keep playing at his best. Plus I don't think he would let Tommy down not to mention financial incentives on league position.
