Well, good timing to find out the shambles and worst transfer window in TW tenure, being so fresh in our mind.

On field results possibly papering over club management hierarchy shambles that was publicly displayed.

Mann will come fully armoured for this question courtesy of Mr Bulletproof.  "Live within our means", 3 year plan etc,  sustainable "balance the books". However, I accept we can't compete with most other clubs, but surely prioritising a key signing, early doors keeps the natives at bay? And TW. a decent early signing will increase morale & increase season tix. We're too reactive/ last orders at the bar..

No wonder there were still spaces when they roll out the B team to answer questions. Kirsten, who's been in the job 10 minutes and managed to upset our greatest ever manager to the point where he's using the press to speak to the chairman. Roddy who finds it hard to read from paper put in front of him and the SLO. Haud me back.

I thought it was a worthwhile event. Kirsten came over well and there was a wide range of topics covered.Key themes were concentrating on improving communication and improving the match day experience. Safe standing was raised...... whether anything comes from it as another matter. As regards signings Drey Wright was mentioned but without going in to specifics we were told nothing much can happen until April or May as at that point  we know what league we will be in and what budget we have going forward. Twice a season is probably enough.

At which point Drey's agent will no doubt have sorted him a better deal elsewhere, we really need to learn to take a risk once in a while, it's becoming mind numbing listening to the clubs strategy on player contracts.

Totally agree, a very short sighted approach. Surely you can create a contract which will cover eventualities of which league you are in.

That's verging on negligence, and shows that despite two embarrassing transfer windows that Tommy Wright has single handedly saved, absolutely **** all has been learned.

Pathetic.

Tommy must be tearing his hair out, it makes sense now why he takes these issues to the press. Total incompetence from the club, I really fear for the future with these amateurs running things.

Its incredible.

Its mid-February and we're closer to 5th than 11th in terms of points, yet the club refuse to talk to players the manager wants to keep incase we're relegated?

Struggle to find any logic in that.

To be fair Kirsten also said that talks were ongoing.

In fairness, Tommy has been doing that during every transfer window for years now. This winter's public outbursts really weren't anything new.

Although McCann and Hendry have just signed new deals........

Yep, it makes no sense. Drey Wright should have been offered an extension ages ago - instead, we might end up losing him just like we lost Kennedy. Tommy must feel like he's banging his head against a brick wall sometimes.

Was there any discussion about the need for an improved scouting system to improve recruitment? Or any plans for making improvements to the way we handle the ever-shambolic transfer windows?

Or McCann and Hendry are identified as sellable assets should relegation happen.
