Zander has proven he is a good goalie. He was good on loan to QoS & for us for a couple of seasons. Not sure what has gone wrong. Is it loss of confidence or is it that he is not playing his natural game due to in the back of his mind thinking of Tommy's so called instructions to stay on his line.

Have to say that Zander is having a mare right now, he seems sapped of confidence & aggression. However he only recently signed a contract extension & Parish is contracted until 2021, so we have to accept that the goalie slots are sorted. Hopefully it's just a blip. Given that other areas of the team need work, we have to prioritise a midfielder and a forward. And hopefully get them locked in early in the window. We can leave the "scraps" such as loans to sort out, in our usual style, on the last day of the window.

The only problem up front with our current squad.... is May. He's not a striker, not a winger, (could he be?) he's a mix of advanced forward. Kane to me would be great as an advanced CM. I like the lad. But we need a big guy upfront.feed The only problem up front with our current squad.... is May. He's not a striker, not a winger. Which means a tactical change. I wish Tommy would stick to 70% 4-4-2, go remainder 3-2-3-1 or 3-2-2-1 to suit. May isn't that "1" upfront. He suits channels. Kane can't do it, Can Hendry???? I hope yes..

Steven Lennon anyone think he a good signing or not.

Why are people on here determined to sign over 30s coming to the end of their career? We’ve tried for years to reduce the squad age, we’re not going to sign a guy totally unproven in Scotland who’d be 33 during the season!

Who the **** is he ?.

Moved to Iceland after a few years drifting around and has scored for fun there, averaging 1 goal in 2 games over a 5 year period. Should do well in our league then. His team FH have qualified for next seasons Europa League. He was 2nd top scorer in their league this season with 13 goals just behind another exiled Anglo.

Not sure how another striker would fit in our squad. Stevie is a certain starter, no matter what formation, Hendry will be here, Kane likely too. O'Halloran could fill in in an emergency. Unless Kane gets moved on, would've thought we need 1-2 midfielders to cover for loans leaving & Craig/ Davidson injury/ suspension. Be surprised if we keep Holt, but you never know if he doesn't ask for silly wages. Then there's the Wright situation. I would've thought by early April he'll either sign, or we'll know he's off.

The Drey Wright ship appears to have sailed

What makes you say that?  Would be very disappointed if that was the case.  Was a bit of a blow to lose Kennedy.  If we don’t manage to keep hold of Wright, we’ll have lost two of our most creative players in the one season.  It’s took us long enough to find these kind of players and not sure how easily they can be replaced on the wages we can offer.

If that is the case how can you expect us to keep them.

Not much we can do if a player wishes to move on other than look for alternatives.

No your right there’s not much you can do and it obviously happens to bigger teams than us.
i think we are entitled to question how proactive the club have been in trying to get these players on longer contracts. I also think we are also entitled to question how much money has been wasted on players that quite clearly didn’t/aren’t making the grade.

Maybe cash could have been better used into persuading Wright to take a longer contract at an earlier stage before his head went elsewhere if indeed it has.

To most players in their short career money is more important than loyalty, especially in the modern era. Players will use clubs to get a bigger move, some intentionally and some through chance. Kennedy and Wright are not the first and will not be the last. Craig, Swanson and O'Halloran have done just that (made some extra money and returned) Could we have offered Kennedy and Wright bigger contracts may be but would they have excepted them if their intention was to use us as a stepping stone. The actions of their agents last summer indicated that they would not sign an improved contract. Therefore if Wright gets a better deal from elsewhere he will be off.

Tommy now playing 3 centre backs and wing backs and it is paying off. If he continues with this formation into next season, we will need wing backs and another centre back. Therefore do we need wingers? Swanson and O'Halloran can they be moved on, get them off the wage bill and free up much need cash.

Splash the cash on 1 player and the rest of the squad then demand more money, a vicious circle that the Browns have been very careful to avoid  for the last 30+ years and hopefully will continue to avoid. There have always been differentials, but never a player on 2 to 3 times what others are on, which is what the likes of Drey & Mikey moved for.

Genuinely one of the daftest suggestions I've ever seen.

Sell all our wingers because we, occasionally, go to five at the back and it works.
